Reviews of Bintang Tiga Bungalows Gili Air

Very nice staff, clean (exept the sheets and towels), very good air conditioning, very close to the beach!, big breakfast, 25k for one day bike rental, filtered water dispenser for refill, cute little cats.

The bed sheets and towels had big yellow stains on them ... I guess they were clean, but very uncomfortable. The bungalow has gaps in the roof and at the bathroom door, so gekkos can easily get in. We encoutered 4-5 in our room.

The property was clean and comfortable with great beach access. The place is really nice to relax. The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. The breakfast and the food of the restaurant was of very good quality. We really appreciated our stay and recommend this place.

A lovely clean room in a fantastic location. Lovely staff and good vegetarian food.

When I arrived at the hotel, I found that my reservation had been canceled due to double booking. The alternative offered by the hotel was nothing like my original reservation. Booking’s customer service was also unhelpful in finding a solution.

Loved the Villa from the moment we arrived on our horse drawn cart from the fast boat dock. The bungalow was perfect and a nice touch with the indoor/outdoor bathroom! Staff were great and breakfast by the beach each morning was stunning! Bikes were available to hire to discover the island.

This place is beautiful, the location is perfect - a few meters from the most beautiful beach and the staff are lovely and really go out of their way. On the last morning we had to leave early to catch the ferry so they packed some bananas in a box for us to take. The beds are really comfortable too and the rooms are cleaned every day. I would 100% stay here again.

The bungalow was beautiful and cozy, with a private garden. No mosquitos or other insects that are very common in the area. The friendliness and kindness of the staff were amazing. At night we could sleep great thanks to the silence. The bungalow is literally 30 steps away from the sea. The value for money was excellent. We loved the breakfast dishes and the ones for lunch were good too.

The only thing is that the sheets had a few stains but nothing worse than you could easily find anywhere else.

Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great beds, beach front access. We loved the delicious breakfast served on the beach (including great coffee) and the sunset drinks. We stayed for 7 nights and were very sad to leave. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Bintang Tiga Bungalows on Gili Air! The bungalows were beautiful, clean, and apparently recently renovated – everything felt modern and well-maintained. We especially enjoyed the breakfast: there were several options to choose from, and everything was delicious. The cappuccino was a real highlight – exceptionally good! The staff were absolutely amazing – incredibly warm, attentive, and always friendly. We loved it so much that we spontaneously extended our stay by four more days. The location is also perfect: you can watch the sunset every evening, and Turtle Beach is very close. We went snorkeling there every day and saw sea turtles every single time – a truly magical experience!

One downside, however, was the noise in the evenings. The neighboring bars play live music every night, often until late – and unfortunately at a volume that is still very noticeable inside the bungalows. If you're a light sleeper or looking for quiet nights, it's something to keep in mind. Of course, this isn’t the fault of Bintang Tiga itself, but it does affect the overall experience. Another small note: the restaurant only serves vegetarian and vegan food. While the dishes are very tasty and well-prepared, those looking for meat or fish options should be aware of this in advance. That said, it's still a highly recommended place with lovely accommodation and an outstanding team!!

The WiFi was bad, I think the whole area suffers from WiFi issues. There was no fridge in bungalow room 7 so get your water from the restaurant before it closes at night

The bungalows are nice, by the beach, nice breakfast. Amazing staff who go above and beyond. Scheduled airport transfer was perfect

This was one of our favourite places to stay! The location is amazing and the food is incredible. The staff were absolutely lovely, definitely recommend!

We found some gecko droppings in the bungalow which I guess can’t be helped as there are geckos everywhere on the island!

The location, the staff, the facilities, and the food are all awesome!

Very happy with the host! He organized everything we asked for, helped us with the scooter rental, arranged our boat trip and recommended a wonderful restaurant on the island, where we had one of the most special dinners due to the very tasty food there and the romantic and dreamy atmosphere of the restaurant with tables right on the beach; we sat with our feet in the sand admiring the sunset and enjoying some delicious dishes. Without Andi's recommendation, we would definitely not have found this particular restaurant on our own. The location is traditional, comfortable, cool room, with a seating area on the private terrace and an outdoor bathroom separated from the room by a sliding door. We didn't find any luxury there because that's not what we were looking for, we went there for something authentic and that's what we found. The breakfast was very tasty and authentic, and my mouth is still watering when I think about those pineapple pancakes drizzled with honey! 😋 The nearby beaches are very nice and comfortable. Our only regret is that we didn't spend more days in this corner of heaven, but we hope we will come back and make up for it. Gili has a completely different vibe, it has its own rhythm, which is what won us over irreparably.

We are not picky and we always try to see the beauty in everything, that's why I would only have one mention related to the bathroom towels that always remained wet due to the humidity, we are aware of it, and yet it was frustrating and created the only discomfort for us, especially since they also smelled unpleasant, and we had to dry ourselves with our clothes; I don't know what we would do if we stayed for several evenings... Hygiene is essential for us and I don't think it was right not to mention this. I understand that it's the high humidity, I repeat, the bathroom being outdoors led to this result, but I still hope there is a solution.

Really nice rooms! We loved the outdoor bathroom and the bungalow set up was really nice. Peaceful and quiet but also with lounge/restaurant area out by the each! We loved everything about it, especially their yummy food!

Nothing we didnt like! Maybe more gluten free items in the included breakfast, but the host was able to accommodate us to make a gf pancake :)

This is a cozy and quiet place, which is located next to the beach, the staff is super and the hotel has a restaurant and a shop, convenient!

Friendly staff and lovely, newly renovated bungalows which were spacious.

The air con did not work well at all, it also smelt like death which was awful. When we asked for laundry recommendations, they said they could do it and then gave our laundry back mouldy.
