How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Our power in our room only worked when the key card was in a slot so it was often muggy and damp when we returned to our room.
Great location on the island. They have bike hire from the property and can sort laundry too. Staff were very friendly and room was a good size.

The bathroom smelt pretty bad - not sure why. It also was just quite run down and not overly clean - altho not the staffs fault they cleaned it well for us. Just had some things that I suppose could not be cleaned.
The staff were so friendly, the pool was nice and the room was simple but what we needed.

The water was a bit cold.
The beds are very comfortable, and the location was ideal. You can rent a bike off them so easily.

Missing amenities in the room. It was just a room. No water bottle, or kettle or anything. I've booked two rooms, for one those things were there but for other just a blank room.

The smell! Our first day there was a lot of air fresheners in our room which we had to remove by the second day as they were affecting our throats. By the last day of our stay the drainage smell was too much! You can taste the air - it comes and goes but it came a lot on our last night. The bathroom needs a bit of TLC. Our tap on the sink didn’t have a handle so we were washing our hands in the shower after using the toilet.
The staff were exceptional. Always greeted with a smile and great chat. Thank you for such a warm stay guys! Great location.

slight smell of dampness
I stayed for two nights and overall had a good experience. The room was comfortable and everything went smoothly. The only downside was a slight smell of dampness, but it didn’t affect my stay too much.

Close to a mosque so can hear the prayer during the day and around 3am every night.
Friendly staff. It’s about 10 min walk to main road or you can rent a bike to get around. They can do laundry on-site. WiFi and AC in rooms

Really good location, 10 minute walk from main centre. Rooms were standard kind of rooms but very comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Staff was super friendly and we even got a room upgrade for one of the rooms. Shared pool, good location. We could borrow beach towels.

Accommodation was walking distance from all the main spots, plus far enough from all the beach music that plays late into the night so you don’t hear it. Staff were very nice Room was spacious, clean and had a comfy bed

The TVs sound was broken. We didn’t actually report this at the time because we were really watching tv but just an fyi to mention it. That was only our room too!
Staff were so friendly and fun!! Always smiling and helped us with bikes and laundry. Really lovely people. Room was nice and big. Nice bathroom and comfy bed. Also so quiet could barely hear the mosque.

room wasn’t the cleanest but not a massive problem. Not the hotels fault but mosque is loud in the morning, think it’s the same all over the island.

Slightly less clean & nice than looking in photos but overall alright value for money depending on what you’re after.
Convenient location about 5-10 mins walk from the Port to arrive / leave from with ferries. Bed very comfortable & clean, bathroom could be a tad cleaner. Staff very friendly and helpful - special shoutout to the staff member who serviced our malfunctioning aircon in the spot - we couldn’t be more impressed!

It could have been cleaner.
Its location was perfect for the price point. Around 5-10 min walk from the beach/port. The bed was huge and comfy.

The uneven and bumpy road from hotel to the main beach road. If it rains, it may get a bit muddy. There is no in-house restaurant.
