Everything. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. The rooms were clean, the food was amazing, the garden was so pretty and the swimming pool was perfect. Ideal place for staying at least a couple of nights. We had a great time at the little islands close by, and we spent the morning after at the pool before having lunch, before moving to the next holiday location. We have been in the area 3 times and we'll definitely come back to Bidara cottages. The best place we stayed in the area

Spacious, airconditioned room in a cottage set in a beautiful garden with monkeys and a (small) swimming pool. Good food and helpful staff. Manager Nana is good at her job and knows how to make the guests feel at home. 100 meters from the beach, but better take a boattrip and snorkle around the small gilis just off the coast. Great place to relax.

Nearby beach is a local hotspot for holidays so trash is a bit of an issue.

Lovely ground and great pool. Really friendly and helpful staff. Delicious freshly cooked food. Perfect for organising trips to the nearby Gilis. Reports of mosquitos in other reviews a bit overdone in our view; there are some, of course, but not a real issue.

Their on site kitchen took ages to prepare our food and it was subpar :((( Breakfast was great but dinner was disappointing

They organise snorkelling trips to Gili Kondo etc that are miles cheaper that prices online. Room was clean and tastefully decorated and had one of the more efficient air conditioners of other places around Lombok

There was construction noise and the power went out a few times.

The property was nicely landscaped and right next to the beach where we got a boat to tour the secret Gillis. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a delicious take away box for lunch while on our boat trip.

We’re just missing the bidet for the toilet

We loved our stay at Bidara Cottage! The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach, which made island hopping to the nearby Gilis incredibly convenient. The wooden bungalow was charming and comfortable, especially with the lovely terrace where we could relax. We also really appreciated the shower with its abundance of natural light—it added a refreshing and natural touch to the experience.

Bidara cottages were gorgeous individual cottages sprinkled through a lovely garden with a gorgeous private swimming pool. The food was excelllent. The cottages were easy walking distance to the beach, although the beach was disappointing as it was dreadfully disrespected with a lot of rubbish. Bidara cottages organised a snorkelling boat trip for me which was truly one of the best highlights of my trip. The coral and fish were extraordinarily beautiful.

Nothing. It was really nice.

The people were so friendly. It’s owned by Indonesian. They took good care of us. Not many tourists around the area, but a couple of tourists at the property of course. Nice pool. A big mosquito net around the bed (the best we had in Indonesia so far, no mosquitoes inside). The food was delicious - so many things to choose from. We were so happy there. They organise a boat tour to the secret Gilis if you like, it’s all day with snorkeling and our guide (Budi) had lots to explain and even managed to show us Sea turtles. It was so nice.

Price for value, cleanliness of the room, mosquito net on the bed and mosquito cream on request (there are some), bathroom size, ideal location if you want to do the Kondo islands tour (ask the hotel to organize it, good price), possibility to also book transfers or various excursions, there is a pool that we didn't use but it was clean and there are new deck chairs that you can use, breakfast included, possibility of lunch and dinner, air conditioning in the room

Nothing perfect stay and would definitely return

We had a wonderful two night stay at Bidara cottages. Located in a very quiet peaceful part of Lombok and away from the crowds. The owners/hosts are some of the best most friendliest people we have had the pleasure of meeting, absolutely nothing is too much trouble. The rooms were clean comfortable and reasonably well equipped. The pool is exceptional especially given the price for the room and now has very comfortable sun loungers. The restaurant served delicious food at local prices. We stayed here to travel from the port to Sumbawa but we would also recommend the snorkelling which we did last year and this can be organised by Bidara Cottages directly.

Not much! The mosquito nets are a bit too saggy and could be longer for easier use. The restaurant prices are pretty high for small portions.

The staff is so lovely and Nana amazingly available to make her guests entertained! Good location, glad to be able to eat at the restaurant (good opening hours) as there is not much around.

Mosquitoes in the room which requires some fogging or anti mosquito device to make the stay more comfortable. Great if pillows can be plushier and a bin or ashtray be available outside the room.

Staff Nana and Mas Iham were extremely friendly and accommodating during my stay. That makes the difference compared to my stay in other homestays.

A lot of mosquitoes but just protect yourself nothing to do about that.

Very nice little cottages, with other rooms around and a pool. The staff was so nice and the food was delicious too! Nestled in a remote area of East Lombok its a good place go stay if you want to be away from the busy West side of Lombok and also if you want to take the public ferry to Sumbawa.

Bidara Cottages was the highlight of our holiday, offering a clean, refreshing pool for respite from the heat. The staff were amazing and so helpful with arrangements for diving, snorkelling day trips and organising drivers. Definitely 10/10.

Like others have said, aggressive mosquitoes all day but the staff seemed to try their very best to help (offering repellent, have fans turned on in the restaurant and create smoke in front of the room).

Great food, great staff and room comfortable. Only stayed for one night but the kids loved the pool and we enjoyed our stay! Nice garden :)

Unfortunately the mosquitoes were insane, persistent and unavoidable, even when we had to use the electric mosquito repellent, which we don't like, they kept getting into the mosquito net. We never felt so loved by something like this before

Wonderful staff! They are our highest bid for the overall experience at Bidara Cottages apart from the big black ape that came and roamed in front of our cottage one morning. The staff are very attentive, warm, friendly and super accommodating to our needs. They would go beyond their way to make us feel like home with fresh home cooked meals to our requirements and they helped organizing the boat day trip to Gili Petagan, The Mangrove, Gili Kapal, Gili Bidara and Gili Kondo. The captain and his helper were superb, friendly and helpful, they respected the guests. The food we ordered was amazing, scrumptious deliumcious, every single one of them. We were so grateful for our experience at Bidara Cottages and we will come back.

The room is nice and big with comfy beds, and everything you need. The pool is amazing with a nice temperature and very clean. They organised for me an amazing private trip to all the islands for actually quite a good price and with very good conditions. And I must say it has been my favourite snorkel experience so far in Indonesia. Crazy beautiful sea life and colours, and the kid that came with me to snorkel was picking up as much trash as he could fit on his body from the ocean, which I thought was amazing. Also, I must say, as a solo female traveler, finding a place mainly run by amazing, strong woman is a treasure. Getting to share food and life stories with them, at least for a little bit has been warming for my heart. Thank you girls, you are the best!!

Everything was perfect; lovely staff, the room and also the food was very good. We had a wonderful stay and is highly recommended. On one evening there was no power for 2 hours, but we were taken good care of. We had no problem with the temporary dark, gave us the opportunity to have an old fashion candle light diner :-)
