Only one thing could be mentioned as a minus, which is the smell of the water in the shower, but it was probably nothing the staff could do anything about, it is most probably the water in the area!

We loved our stay at Bhalance Retreat Hotel! It was short, but we thoroughly enjoyed it! Amazing views from the hotel, everything is so well taken care of! The staff was extremely helpful and kind, super accommodating with our needs! The room was spacious and clean plus the bathroom was huge! We loved every minute of our stay! Extra bonus was the super tasty food of the restaurant! It wasn't as cheap as we had seen in local warungs, but it was well prepared and very tasty! Overall a great stay, well worth what we spent!

The door to my villa was misaligned and very difficult to lock. I took staff and they claimed to have fixed it. Unfortunately not. The gecko s pooped all over my bed daily and something must be done by staff

As mentioned, the driveway needs some work. Gojek and grab take a bit of time to come as we are a little outside of the location but the hotel has options to hire your own bike if you’re confident. While the food was epic, there weren’t a lot of options available and after a couple of days I was craving something different. But none of these comments would deter me from staying again! This place is stunning.

Hidden down a rocky, small driveway is this glorious little retreat. Initially we were concerned with what we booked considering the path to get there was rough. But then we walked through the gate. This place is stunning, quiet and lovely. The pool was the perfect size and depth, the rooms were a generous size and distance from other rooms. You have your choice of indoor and outdoor bathrooms which was a nice surprise. The food at the property was well made and tasty. Staff are helpful and kind.

Only minor miscommunication in the morning at departure: - I was told at the reception that the transport to the ferry to GIli was FREE and the ticket of the ferry was 800.000 IDR. This was incorrect. The transport organised by the hotel was 150.000 IDR and the ferry ticket was 650.000 IDR. This caused a big an unnecessary argument with the driver 🙈 It could have been avoided with better and more transparent communication by the hotel reception 😇 But all in all: this stay was a clear 10/10

I wouldn't recommend it for people who are afraid of insects or geckos, as the bathroom is completely open (no roof on the shower). Sometimes when it was raining heavily it way a bit annoying to walk to the toilet. There were some big geckos in the room who would sometimes be very loud and wake us up at night (or poop on the floor... luckily not on us!). If you plan to move around by scooter consider that the way to the hotel is not paved and not the easiest to drive!

The hotel is located a little outside of Padang Bai, in a very quiet and secluded area, immersed in nature. We didn't have breakfast there because we were heading out before they started serving it, but the Indonesian dishes we had for dinner were delicious. The staff is very attentive and they cleaned the room every day!

Food was a bid mediocare for the price, but still good. Easy dishes. Staff was really nice amd helpfull but a lot on there phone. If you dont like the lizards and insects inwould not recommend because the toilet l, bathroom and shower are outside. But it was really cute

The shower and sink taps were not well secured and so it felt like it was going to break when using. The staff were helpful but not much English spoken. The road was very bad driving to their property.

The property is beautiful and the views from every aspect. The quietness and countryside. The spaciousness in the villas especially the balcony upstairs. Loved the natural body and hair products in the bathroom.

I don’t have anything negative to say about the property , some people will find that It is not easy to find but we had a driver that the hotel arranged for us so it was easy enough to get there , the pillows are too high for me but that is minor issue, I didn’t ask if they had thinner ones which I should have .

The property was unexpectedly beautiful , breathtaking surroundings and rooms were very spacious, clean , with gorgeous bathrooms. Comfy beds. They look after every single detail , the bedding and towels smell great , loved the linen mosquito net and the quality of the amenities , we only spent 2 nights there and I wish we had spent more time there. I don’t think the photos make any justice to the beauty of the place . The staff are amazing , all very nice , always helpful and smiling! The menu is wonderful and the spa treatments too!!! I had one of the best massages and superb scrub my skin feels and looks fantastic! When I come back to Bali I will come back to this place !

Google Maps location is inaccurate. Locals are happy to help to show the way. Muddy road leading up to the hotel. Someone put up a sign that taxi drop off is prohibited. I would just ignore that.

This place felt like paradise! Somehow it was even prettier than on the photos. It is tucked aways in the rice fields, with a few super pretty bungalows, swimming pool and views over the rice fields and mountains. The bungalow was gorgeous! Spacious, clean and with a beautiful outside/in bathroom. You can rent a scooter to go to the beach, we went to secret beach 15 min aways which was a small but pretty beach with some local Warungs where we had a nice lunch and a fresh coconut.
