The Grand Barong Resort is in a fantastic location! Crumb and Coaster being just across the road! Staff are wonderful and accommodating. The breakfast is delicious. Money changer on site has good rate as well as safe. The bar at the front where Gabe sings is so much fun. The pool side bites are delicious, mini pizzas and potato croquet being my favourite. The staff are always cleaning around the resort are are always smiling and friendly. Noise is ok at this resort and its a real people meeter place! The pool bar and staff was the highlight to our trip!

Beer is on the dearer side for Bali standards but they do offer a deal where the supply esky , ice and 24 beers for a lump sum which works out each Beer is cheaper then buying 1 at a time. The bathrooms do get a smell I assumed from the plumbing but I took my own air freshener. The place they wash sheets ect cant get out basic marks. I saw a couple get charged 22 for a sheet cause he spilt coffee and they couldn't get the mark out. I was nearly going to be charged for 2 x sheets as I was at the end of my female days when I arrive and got a little on the sheet( not enough to go through to the mattress protector though) and one night we got room service they put the plates on the bed, as iv moved a plate closer to me I didnt realise the bottom of the plate had tomato sauce on it. They were great though because after we discussed it I only had to pay 10 for a spot treatment which I agreed to be a fair price. Just something others might want to be aware of. Over all the place was great!

    Good central location, good pool

The fact that they charged us $220k for a coffee spill on the sheets. Cleaning costs should not be additional, that should be factored into the room cost. Very disappointed. Don't provide coffee if you are going to charge guests for cleaning up spills. This is just general cleaning, surely the sheets are bleached when they are cleaned anyway?

pools were clean, food was really good. STAFF WERE AMAZING

nothing - this resort is amazing especially for its price. but the pools were unfortunately sometimes filled with entitled old Australians who think they should be treated like kings and queens, complain about their $6 drinks and no manners. In bali the elderly teach the children how to respect everyone not the other way around :)

Breakfast was nice! Maybe more variety of fruit and yogurt as well needed. The pool was amazing! The rooms were decent for the money we paid.

The only thing would be that you could hear every little noise down the corridor when in room.

We enjoyed our stay at Grand Barong Resort—while the rooms are on the cozier side, they were perfectly comfortable for two. The pools were spotless and inviting, and the location couldn’t be better: just a short stroll to Kuta Beach, nearby markets, and a wide array of restaurants. Going for a morning swim, souvenir shopping, and dining out was effortless. Although we weren’t given adjacent rooms on our first night, the staff made it right by moving us next door the very next day—kudos to them for the quick turnaround!

The bathroom’s opaque glass door closes but doesn’t lock, which felt a bit odd for privacy. With two pools right off the corridors and elevators, the floors were often wet and slippery—something to watch out for—and the elevator did carry a faint musty scent. On our first day, one room’s AC unit started leaking, but thankfully the team resolved it within minutes.
