Poor food quality, Cempaka restaurant good food but the bbq and seafood restaurant the food was really bad, no cooking skills, the people does not have any idea about dietaries. We did not like the beta fish in the massage place, it was so bad too.

The cleanliness e.g towels were dirty. The sea was really polluted as well with loads of commercial boats parked in the bay and operating during the day.

No need to be negative as every resort in the world have minor issues.

A wonderful traditional feeling throughout this resort helped by the very friendly staff and management. A special shoutout to Ayu and Antara along with the team at the beachside breakfast room. We stayed for 10 days of relaxation within the resort and will be back in the near future.

We didn't really stay long enough to find anything we didn't like. I would have liked a room with a nice view and asked for a quiet room. However, we were placed at the front of the resort next to the main road. Traffic and bikes are not so quiet. We should have stayed longer and then maybe we would have been able to get a room closer to the pool area.

Location was fantastic. Area was flat with private beach. No having to fight or pay for a spot or recliner! Lovely pool. Gardens were green and lush. Able to walk everywhere. Lots of small eating places around. Beach is not a surf beach, more like a lagoon. Great for young kids.

The smell inside the bungalow, especially in the bathroom. Facilities too less for such big capacity resort, and quality needs improvement.

The beach in front of the resort is somewhat underwhelming. Only a small portion available for swimming (for safety reasons, to keep clear of jet skis and speed boats etc). Only worth swimming at high tide which limits use. But the Bali Tropical is only a shortish walk to much better beaches in front of other resorts and which are available for public use. Charming property on the edge of the Nusa Dua Resort Row. Architecture infused with authentic Balinese design which makes it a stand out from the many other chain resorts in the area. The other stand out are the beautiful gardens and green spaces. A great place to relax or use as a base for the wide range of activities in Bali. Staff are very friendly and attentive. A large and varied breakfast menu with parts changing every day. A varied program of resort activities available. The focus of the resort is the pool with many guests laying claim to their lounges for the day. Local eating places are available outside the resort if guests want a change from the nightly restaurant/buffet/banquet fare. Other stores and amenities also available outside. A shuttle bus operates to a large and popular tourist shopping centre. A very pleasant stay at Bali Tropic and would happily return.

Pool bar opened at 10:00 am at which time music also started playing. Not as peaceful as I would’ve liked.

We stayed in a deluxe bungalow which was beautiful and very spacious. Lovely balcony with day bed and very private. Close to beach, nice pool and nice restaurant on site. Beautiful gardens.

The room didn't match the photos. The room was within a 3 storey hotel complex, not the villas leading out to the garden as portrayed by the website. The view across a vacant lot of building waste was disappointing. Had splurged and was left disappointed.

The hotel gardens and architecture was beautiful. The staff were friendly. The buffet breakfast was plentiful. Activities available.

The only two things that weren't perfect were the beach, which is unswimmable at low tide, and an occasional very slight gassy smell that others have mentioned. Neither of these issues kept our family from having a wonderful time!

Outstanding property! Wonderful carved doors and woodwork, flowers trailing from the second story, beautiful grounds, and interesting architecture! The rooms are extremely comfortable and spacious. The breakfast buffet is top notch. Excellent value, too!

When we arrived we were shown to a room which was not the one we had booked. We were told this was an "upgrade". When we asked to have our booked room, we were told they did not have any available until the following day. This also happened to 2 other couples we spoke to. This hotel clearly overbooks its best rooms and then tries to move people to alternatives saying it is an "upgrade". It was a shame, as the bungalow room we had after the first night was stunning and everything we had expected. The hotel has limited space by the pool and all sunbeds are reserved with towels from early morning. This is a shame as often the beds were empty. We tended to lie on the beach on towels as not enough sunbeds.

The Bungalow room we had for most of our stay was lovely - decorated in a traditional Balinese style. The grounds are very pleasant with nice planting and plenty of shade. The breakfast was good - buffet style with lots of options. There were different options for evening meal - with the hotel doing a couple of themed evenings. Lovely beach with swimming and watersports available.

The all inclusive guests were frequent visitors to the club roof top. They arrived to see the view and swim in the pool, however were sometimes quite noisy and could be abusive to staff when they realised they had to pay for drinks etc.

The roof club pool and bar were stunning. I had booked a deluxe bungalow with garden view, but on arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a club room. We were given a club room facing the road, which was not great. We asked for the bungalow but were told that there was only 1 available which we viewed but it did not have a garden view and was the closest bungalow to the road and no other bungalow rooms were available. (This appeared to be a common occurance with other guests as there were several people complaining they had not got the room they booked.) We then got moved to an ocean view club room which was perfect. Great options for breakfast in the restaurant with lots of variety. Rooms were very comfortable and very clean. The whole resort is very well maintained. All staff were very helpful and friendly.

The beach. The surge had pushed in a lot of seaweed on the shoreline which did not look that appealing for us to swim in.

We initially did not like the room that we booked and we got upgraded to the a villa room without an extra charge. We were lucky I suppose! The room was fantastic. Closer to the restaurants, spa area and pool.

A bit noisy refrigerator that we had to switch off each time before going to bed. Due to a malfunction in the bathroom, water was leaking a little at room no. 3089.

When we walked along the beach in the evening there was lots of rubbish including plastic bags and general litter at the tide line. The pool table needs a new cloth as what is currently there is very very poor quality. The same goes for the pool cues and the table tennis bats. One evening we attended a barbeque with entertainment from a trio of men singing and playing instruments. Unfortunately their performance was badly affected by the quality of the speakers.

The staff were always friendly and helpful. The pool was wonderful and the meals were great with lots of options. The view was beautiful and there were plenty of sun beds available every day that we wanted them.
