Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Location is amazing! In the middle of the city but so calm and peaceful. Walking down and you are in Ubud. Comfortable beds, bathroom, good breakfast. Staff is friendly and truly welcoming! Pool is handy to have to relax after the chaotic city. Maya, the owner, helped me big time.

Nice relaxed environment. Room was spacious. Breakfast was good with pancakes, fresh fruits and bread. The view from the unit was exceptional. The couple who manage the place and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Convenient restaurant just across the road with beautiful view, and good food.

CyprusThis place could be 10/10 with some very simple adjustments. Here are my gentle recommendations to the owners: 1. Remove the stones from the shower, they are old and mouldy and unhygienic and really painful on the feet. 2. I love being in the jungle and I dont mind not having a/c. Im aslo not afraid of any bugs or flying things or crawlers, but, I do like to sleep without them in my bed. Please add some netting to the lip around the ceiling so these little creatures stay safe from being crushed by me in bed. Would also make for a much better sleep for me! 3. The mattress....oy oy oy... its really impossible to sleep comfortably, please invest in a newer one. Then I will come again 4. Breakfast is difficult. I think if you are targetting adventurous souls with the rustic vibe, its important to know that such souls do not like to eat sugar and carbs (rice with palm sugar and shredded sweet coconut, pancakes with palm sugar stuffing) especially for breakfast. Local delights are fun to try but for a place like this one, at that price tag, we need to agree that this is not a homestay and breakfast should reflect that. A nice smoothie or some creativity with the breakfast will go a long way. Ubud offers and abundance of inspiration you can draw from. 5. A fridge in the room would be great. 6. Towels could benefit from some fabric softener, the smell was strong and mouldy. 7. I love how nature takes over, however there are literally 2 mushrooms growing in the room wall. Quite large ones!
The location is just mindblowing. I wanted nature and I got exactly that. from the lush jungle and all the glorious sound harmonics of birds, gekos and other life in the dense foliage, to the surrounding magnificence of rice fields, I felt like I was on planet earth fully connected to all its divinity. I loved the accessibility to central Ubud and the great little massage parlour down the road, I loved the beautiful room furniture and the amazing little porch, I loved the gentle kind and heartwarming ladies working on site, the delicious Nyepi food cooked with so much variety and attention.

The location is absolutely stunning - I loved my stay in one of the cottages! The view, the tranquility, the rice fields - it’s absolutely amazing. Please remember though: You are in the middle of the jungle, so please be aware that you are entering the habitat of little animals ;)

AustraliaBeautiful setting, close enough to Ubud town to be able to walk in, further enough out to feel that you're amongst nature. Peaceful and restful. Also close to some good eateries. Nice to explore by foot. NB: Moderate level of fitness needed to get to the location. Some stairs and uphill walks to get to the location from town but worth it.

Situated in the valley and next to the rice fields. The environment is like heaven on earth, the room in traditional house is spacious and with incredible view to the valley. At the same time, it's only 10 minutes walk to Ubud centre ! Staff are all friendly. When we arrived, the room was specially decorated for our special occasion, we felt so thankful for everything. Our favorite moment was swimming in the infinity pool watching birds flying in circles and squirrels running on the trees while we had delicious breakfast in the restaurant.

AustraliaThis place is truly magical. An oasis tucked into the jungle and rice fields to the north of Ubud but close enough to walk into town easily. The moment I arrived, I felt the magic of this place, the beautiful garden, jungle view with fireflies buzzing about and quaint cottage style accommodation. Swem was also very helpful in making sure I had a comfortable stay and helped with everything from arranging luggage transfer from the main road to great recommendations in the area.

The pool was lovely and the room HUGE! The lane it is in is just gorgeous with great cafes, a nice peaceful stroll amongst rice paddies. Really lovely area with stunning jungle views.

ItalyI absolutely loved its location: it's very closed to the centre of Ubud but at the same time it enjoys the calm of the rice fields where the hotel is located. The hotel structure is quite simple but provides everything is needed. Cars cannot reach the hotel and this translates into a fantastic plus, as you can enjoy nice walks (although motorbikes still circulate) in the surrounding of the hotel where you find nice little restaurants, a yoga center, etc..

United KingdomI loved the location of Prashanti. It is down a winding path surrounded by rice fields - only a short walk away from everything Ubud has to offer in the centre, but away from the noise and hustle and bustle. I definitely recommend a cabin, as ours was beautiful and the view from Prashanti is breath taking. The team at Prashanti were super helpful - they gave use recommendations and made our trip even more enjoyable
