Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I repeat checked that a superior room could sleep 3 60 year old female friends prior to leaving home. I tried this via booking.com and directly with the hotel no even rang the hotel to check our room / sleeping bed configuration would be suitable. Upon arrival we were put in a room with a child made up 3 rd bed. The manager was helpful and eventually we had a room to check into, but it took approx 2 extra hours to get sorted. The hotel has been misleadingly advertised to suit 3 separate adults in one room. It is far too small. Plus we were charged a full extra person rate not an additional smaller fee for third person. Surely for rate we should have got a bigger room not an extra small bed. This I tried to do in advance, we would have paid more for a bigger room at time of booking if we had not been assured this superior room would be suitable. Food was average.
Excellent location. Lovely staff. Very clean.

The fact that my grandson and wife got foot and mouth disease from swimming in the pool was not very good.
The breakfast was packed every day and you had to wait for a table or got and get breakfast elsewhere.

Some parts of buildings were looking a little worn out. But wouldn't stop us coming back.
Loved the close location to beach. Staff were standout. So friendly and helpful.

We pre-booked cabanas but they were in the sun. Would be better if the cabanas were in the shade. Didn't like that you couldn't order food by the pool until 12 noon.
Pool was really nice, breakfast was great. Our room was very basic but nice enough. We thought it was quite expensive for what it was.

We stayed in the rooms at the back they were comfortable. But the overall noise when people walked up and down the steps and the smoking area was very noisy they were right under our bed in the smoking area which woke up two three four in the morning every morning broken sleeps we did go to the front desk to complain and they said there's nothing we can do about it. I know it's a family hotel but the kids running up and down and ladies with high heels the hallways was very noisy I would not recommend staying by the stairwell.
Overall the facilities and the location was brilliant

Lack of deck chairs everywhere, we rarely got one in 4 days. No real happy hour, have to buy 3 to get 1 free! Expensive front restaurant and they allowed one person to sit in the booth for sunset for hours when it could have seated our group.
Grassed area, breakfast, gardens, close to shops & restaurants and directly opposite beach. Loved outdoor shower in room, lovely service from room attendant.

Although water was supplied every day, we had to pay for the bigger bottle....... Not the end of the world, but hard to understand. Maybe not so suitable for us as there were mainly families with children and younger clientele.
Wonderful staff, very helpful, fixed our shower immediately, great breakfast, peaceful courtyard to sit and read. Great to be able to use the Club Lounge, the staff was very friendly and looks after us. Close to the airport, which nowadays is important as it can take long due to severe traffic.
