Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

An old style Bali accommodation. Simple but comfortable room, cold shower ( not a problem in Permuteran), small but very welcome pool, lovely garden grounds, helpful, friendly staff. Easy parking. Good wifi. Reminded us of many places we have stayed in in 48 years of visiting Bali.

Czech RepublicComments before mentioned noisy chicken in the morning. We've experienced it only during our first day, for the rest of our stay we basically didn't notice them.
Spacious room, the outdoor shower-no mold, clean and comfortable. The garden and swimming pool are perfect. The owner Putu is a great person and takes good care of his guests and everything around the property. Breakfast is simple and perfect to start your day. We liked accommodation so much that we extended it.

GermanyFor breakfast we had coffee or tea, fruit and nasigoreng. As a vegetarian, only the fruit remained, which was a bit of a shame.
The owner is very nice and always ready to help. The room is simply furnished. It has a chest of drawers, which I find very practical. The bathroom is an outdoor bathroom. I can only recommend the homestay!

BelgiumUnfortunately, when we arrived the atmosphere was totally different. Very cold welcoming and rude request to pay asap. Our rooms were really disgusting. We know we booked a basic room, but that does not mean unacceptable dirty (curtains more yellow than white, poo of animals, dead flies in spider webs,…). After one day, Mr. Putu asked when we could leave on the 2nd day, while we booked 3 days… On day 3, also clearly unhappy with our check out at noon (as noted on the booking and written in their own conditions). Not even a thank you or goodbye from Mr. Putu. Breakfast not tasteful and very basic as well. We had hoped for better and given the other reviews, it should have been. I don’t know why we got such a lousy experience.
Our contact person Kadek did a great job planning our snorkeling tour and finding a good driver for our transfer from Ubud. The pool was nice.
