How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewDelicious breakfast, beautiful rooms, and all of the staff were lovely.
There was a huge swell the day we were there and some of the waves were crashing over the restaurant area. Also, the only sun loungers available at the pool, even to guests, come with a minimum spend requirement to use. Not ideal as a guest if your just wanting some relaxing time by the pool to read etc.

Verified reviewThe view of the sea is absolutely breathtaking—I’ve never seen anything like it. The tents are quite comfortable, though it can get a bit humid at night. I also really enjoyed the breakfast and the infinity pool.
It was quite difficult to communicate with the staff, and I think they could benefit from more training. The welcome wasn’t as warm as what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. The garden also needs more attention, as many of the plants were completely dried out. Overall, the cleanliness definitely has room for improvement.

Verified reviewWe stayed here for three nights and were absolutely amazed by the nature. Beauty is everywhere – to the left, right, front, and back. The surroundings are breathtaking, and the interior design is also stunning. The pool and the glamping-style cottages are beautifully styled, everything feels very well thought out both in terms of design and the way it blends with nature. Truly incredible. I can 100% recommend coming here – you will fall in love with the place and won’t want to leave.
However, there are some big issues with the service. The staff’s English is not very strong, so it was sometimes difficult to communicate and explain what we wanted. Breakfast, which is included in the price, was honestly disappointing – very basic and small portions. For example, we ordered avocado toast and got one large slice of bread with maybe a quarter of an avocado and a single egg. Another time we ordered boiled eggs, and they took 40 minutes to arrive, even though we asked about them several times. The same happened when ordering food by the pool during the day – waiting time was usually 35–40 minutes. When we asked the staff to check, they would say “yes” but never come back with an update. Overall, the service and attentiveness are very poor, which is frustrating given that the price per night is above average. The food itself is just okay. Breakfasts were not tasty, but dishes from the regular menu after breakfast were a bit better. Still, I don’t really understand why there are two menus (a “beach menu” and an “evening menu”), since they actually work at the same time. Nobody informed us about this, and I only found out about the evening menu by chance. The evening menu had more interesting options, but it wasn’t properly explained.

Verified reviewThis is one of the most stunning places I have ever stayed. Everything was just spectacular. The island is very special, the hotel rooms are beautifully decorated and include thoughtful touches like moisturiser / after sun / sunscreen etc. The breakfast was great, the pool breathtaking, staff very friendly and helpful.
The lunch / dinner food felt a bit average in comparison to the rest of the experience. I still had a good meal, but it is not of the same quality as the rest. The breakfast was delicious.

Verified reviewGreat location, we had an ocean/cliff villa and then a lagoon villa. Both were great and private. The deluxe villas look like they loose privacy as they front onto the path that leads through the property, so have people walking past the front of the villa (apart from No19)
We felt the restaurant and pool area was just ok, although there isn’t any privacy so you’re a bit ‘on show’. Also, Arna gives the public free shuttle and free drink voucher from the yellow bridge, so you end up with quite a few random ‘content creator wannabes’ rocking up and pretending they are ‘living their best life’!! Still, as a paying guest, at least you don’t have to pay for the day beds anymore (but do need to book them). They’re a bit grubby so recommend you get a towel to cover up the sweat etc from previous visitors… Food and staff were better at the Klyf Club at The Blue Lagoon. Not much to do at Arna, unless you like posing next to the pool.

Verified reviewFlot lokation, flotte telte og smukke omgivelser.
There is something seriously wrong with the management of the pool area and bar/lounge area. My partner and I checked in at 1:00 PM and went down to the pool area for lunch. After lunch, we wanted to relax on one of the sunbeds, but we were told that everything was “reserved.” The only option left for us was beanbags far from the pool if we wanted to sit in the sun. We stayed there from 1:00 PM until 6:30 PM, and during all those hours the four “reserved” sunbeds remained completely empty. Why are paying guests not allowed to use them if they are never actually occupied? The hotel also needs to decide whether it wants to be a hotel or a pool club. Why should people who are not even staying at the hotel be given access to the pool area, while overnight guests are left without proper seating? Hotel guests should clearly have priority. “Reservation” must in fact be the most used word in the lounge area. No matter when the first encounter guest experienced was some kind of “have you reserved”. It is not a welcoming feeling, and they need to work on the way they greet guests in order to feel welcome. We stayed here 4 days and experienced every single time we ordered that something was out of stock. The waiters clearly didn’t know who was In charge and all this just left us with a feeling of chaos. This poor organization left us disappointed and made us question the value of staying here. A hotel of this standard should absolutely ensure that its own guests come first. We usually don’t complain, but the price and expectations for this place, simply doesn’t add up…

Verified reviewThe view from the pool and the quality of the food.
In room 19, there is no view which was disapointing as the hôtel was expensive and we booked and paid for a view on the lagoon. It was also very noisy in the nights due to the sound of the waves. Bring earplugs. The restaurant service was very long. The sides came always after the end of our main dishes…. The breakfast was also very long even if some of the waiters were very Nice and helpfull.

Verified reviewEverything. Just perfect! The location, the staff, the rooms. Cannot fault the execution and how well they’ve designed the tents. I wouldn’t even call it tents to be honest. The views from each room are stunning and the small things really make a difference like sunscreen, after sun cream, free mini bar snacks & drinks. Just perfect.
The food. We had both breakfast & dinner there. Dinner was okay just. Breakfast tho - I was shocked. Even something as simple as toast was somehow below standard. Cold coffee. The best place to eat in thst area is Klyf Club. I think Arna could take some tips from there on how to make good food.

Verified reviewGreat location, the best really! The suit with ocean view was great.
Restaurant, food and service… just the worse ever. We were asking literally 5-7 times to bring a cup of coffee to the table, and they still couldn’t manage it in an hour.

Verified reviewSpectacular and breathing taking view from both the room (w/ ocean and cliff view) and from the infinity pool. Sunset view. Glamping tent with a minimalistic and appealing design.
To overcrowded considering the minimal space with common areas. Sun beds are few and have to be reserved and one have to pay 500.000-1000.000 IDR. No activities on the hotel/glamp. Food is pretty average. There were different varieties of egg options which all seemed very similar with just negligible tweaks. Pastries tasted like they were frozen and warmed up in the microwave/oven. Nothing fresh. Could not provide any of the smoothies/refreshers on the menu. One day they could not provide bacon for their “bacon benny”. We ate lunch and dinner once. Lunch experience was okey. For dinner we ordered lamb rack and a steak which were really disappointing. Too salty, no taste, and for overcooked. Service was in general alright but we experienced several situations which made us doubt it as a 5 stars facility. Proper towels were not provided before day after in the late afternoon (given pool towels). We ordered in- room dining service in the evening, day after evening though they had been in the room for cleaning they did not bring the dishes - we had to call them to do it (they ended with leaving it outside in the common areas). We tried to make a reservation for both sun beds and dinner, used 5-10 minutes, the worker even asked her colleague to make it right, somehow none of the reservation went through.

Verified reviewBeautiful Location
Food: we had food poisoning the very first day. And overall the food wasn‘t very good. And sadly a third of the drinks menu was missing. Service: although friendly, we had dishes from the guests before us, that got left on the porch and together with our dishes didn’t get removed until we asked for it two days later. The staff in the restaurant is also very friendly, but sadly slightly uncoordinated and a little inexperienced.

Verified reviewThe location is stunning. Probably the most spectacular place I have ever stayed. The views from our veranda over a stormy coastline were mesmerising.
Everything is pretty good. The range of options (e.g. no breakbasket), quality and availability (sorry, xyz is not available today) of breakfast could be improve slightly to bring it up to the same 10/10 standard of the rest of the resort.

Verified reviewOur tent was absolutely stunning. We only stayed one night and were disappointed it wasn’t longer. It was excellently equipped and extremely comfortable. We could hear the sound of the waves which was lovely and soothing. The pool area is incredible too - a beautiful view overlooking the nearby cliffs and lagoons. There is nothing we’d change about our visit here. Staff were all lovely and extremely accommodating.

Verified reviewArna was brilliant - so nice to have a couple of nights in the quiet. The tents themselves are 10/10. So comfortable and stunning. Definitely worth paying extra to get the lagoon view. It's amazing. Staff were great -particularly Ahmed and Nea. The pool and restaurant was such a fun/delicious way to end the day watching the sunset.
The shuttle bus did not arrive at the Yellow Bridge as advertised when we were checking in, which was frustrating. The breakfast is SO delicious, and the staff are great, but the food is incredibly slow as they allow people to order as much as they want.

Verified reviewLoved the “tent” accomodation- something a bit different and it’s all high end. We had a lagoon view room - and could watch some waves crashing on the rocks which was good - they do get afternoon sun so tent can warm up a bit- restaurant was good - breakfast was good - both just a little short of great- pool area is awesome but beware that a lot of visitors book the pool chairs and guests need to book as well and pay a fee that you can then use for food and drink - from memory around $100-
