Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ThailandOur villa need s little maintenance, no curtain on bathroom window, shower pressure very slow, simple furnishings. Staff is kind, but does not speak much English, and not trained in hospitality. The place feels a little rugged, common bathroom is abandoned by pool, not sure why it is never cleaned. Pillows are very high like common in Bali. They smoke in the kitchen, That needs to change!
lovely area, great rice field views, small compound. We stayed a week. Simple houses, simple breakfast We did not expect much. Clean beds, towels changed daily. Very quiet. Overall it was good value for money!

AustraliaWe did have a small issue with the toilet which was fixed pronto. Less facilities if you want to cook. But who wants to while in Bali?
Very quiet location, next to a rice field, so we can see and hear the birds. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the staff is really helpful. Bottled water provided.

South KoreaThe property is quite far from any conveniences (restaurants, grocery, etc.). The property is in need of repair. There were no shower heads in our bathrooms. The faucets were shaky and even fell off in one bathroom. Water pressure is extremely low making showers with a handheld shower almost impossible.
The staff was super kind and helpful. They truly aimed to please!

AustraliaIt wasn’t actually in Ubud and as we had two small children we needed a driver and it took us 1.5hr in traffic to get to Ubud because it was so jammed. When we went all 4 of us on the scooter, obviously less safe but it only took 20 mins or less.
It had a gorgeous pool and gardens and the staff were just excellent. Comfortable beds and great air con.

AustriaThey building new houses on the ground and the workers were walking through the area. The apartment for 4 people has a too small couch and a very small dining room which is useless. We took the chairs to the bedrooms and used them as storage space. To order breakfast was a bit complicated.
It has a real nice pool area! It is located directly next to a rice field and still near to the city center of ubud. The rooms and the whole area is very clean. The breakfast is freshly prepared. And it has the friendliest staff ever.

PhilippinesThe villa is huge and more than enough for eight people. It was very clean, and all the staff were incredibly friendly. Adrianna, who was in charge, was a fantastic host and made sure that everything was taken care of. He and his staff were exceptional. I would love to come back and stay here again on my next vacation. I highly recommend this place. Excellent!

Netherlands1. The difference in floor level (from foyer to dining room) without a sign caused 3 people to fall. And one of the tourists experience a broken bone (please see photo attached from hospital) has reported to the reception. His response was that this was the first time. Hazards like this are not the first or frequent problems. In reality an accident happens and there were victims. 2. The water discharge in the sink and in the bathroom upstairs is clogged. 3. There is an unpleasant odor from the upper bathroom room. 4. The air conditioner in the lower room does not work, as well as the air conditioner in the upper (main) room cannot be changed. We have reported almost everyday. 5. Breakfast menu wasn't clear halal & non halal
Staffs were very friendly and service oriented. They try their best to please customers with their capacity.

United KingdomVillas were old fashioned/outdated, this showed with rust, stains etc and there were lots and lots of ants coming into the villa. We were also certain there were rats in the roof/ceiling as they were very noisy above the bedrooms throughout the day and at night.
Staff were lovely and pool area was nice, location was pretty central.

United KingdomThere were a lot of bugs in the rooms. Ants, spiders and some sort of wasp or bee nest in the bathroom on the ceiling. We also found a big earwig insect in the bathroom largely because the bathrooms are all open. It is not sealed from the outdoors. The beddings did have small bits of debris on them whilst we stayed there which was a bit annoying as we didn’t feel clean or at peace. The staff were very friendly.. maybe a bit too friendly. We felt like every time we would pass the reception, all of the staff would come to us and question us about what we were doing and where we’re going and would continually ask us if we want breakfast at the hotel. For the first day this was nice but every single day after it was a bit too much as we just wanted our privacy. They did mean well and their service was very attentive but at times a little too much.
Very nice location and close to ubud town. The property was still being built. They have a unique style of rooms. We stayed in a pool side room where there are stone carvings of Hindu gods on the walls. Nice pool too.
