The hostel isn't very hygienic, so definitely wear slippers or bathroom shoes if you need to! The beds were a bit thin and the ladder to the top bunk were a bit broken. I also went on the dolphin trip, but I think it was unethical. The dolphins were being chased by all the little boat and almost had no space to take a breath. I don't recommend it if you love animals. But it was still very cool to see them!

There is airconditioning now!! The host is very kind and is prepared to do anything for his guests. He took me to a beautiful waterfall and hot spring. He's very patient and funny too! We played a lot of games, and please if you can beat him at dominoes it would also be a victory for me (I lost a lot haha) It's kind of primitive, which I actually liked! But you still have everything you need. And ask if you can do the scuba diving day trip! It is totally worth it!!

Look the place is fine. We were happy cuz we knew what to expect from the pics and previous reviews. Was it a 5 star room? No. But was it a roof over our head for an affordable price, yep. And that’s all we need. The pool is not usable, the beds were mildly comfy, but again we were satisfied. So follow your heart!!

Kadek is the owner and he is fantastic. Makes you feel right at home! The location is also spot on with only a 5-10 min walk to all the shops and restos and the beach. Kadek also helped us out with transpo to the ferry and to rent snorkel gear.

As points of approvement, I think the bathroom and swimming pool could use a bit of cleaning, and either a water spray or toilet paper would be very nice. Maybe also a lock on the room or lockers for a backpack, as this wasn't there right now: sometimes there was just no one home and it doesn't feel very good my stuff is there to take for anyone who wants it. Lastly, I'd love to have a towel. Overall, I had a pleasant stay here!

Apollo hostel is a simple and cheap stay for budget backpackers owned by a kind and welcoming guy. I recommend this hostel for anyone who just needs to spend a night in Lovina to look around and swim with dolphins and who does not need much else than a simple bed, proper bathroom, little garden, and a warm welcome from Kadek! He makes sure you feel at home and can arrange a dolping tour for you with his cousin who is a great captain for 180 K IDR. When I was here, I was the only guest due to low season, so it was nice and calm.

The other guests was closing the door in the more bed dorm, I recommend to leave the door open by sleeping.

Kated the owner was a really kind person, he offered me his bike for a fair price and helped me to enjoy my stay in lovina a lot. I can recommend to stay there for 3 Nights.

Pool is brown with lots of bugs, but luckily the beach is close. The showers were cold, maybe a heating issue while I was there.

Floor is dirty everywhere Pool isn’t clean to swim in Bathrooms need renovating Pipes in bathrooms need cleaning as you can smell the rust Never really felt clean Our honest suggestions would be to clean the swimming pool, mop and sweep the floor daily, sort the bathrooms out to a better standard and have a variety for breakfast. Place has so much potential just needs some love and upgrades completed.

The smell of mould from our room was quite overwhelming. The breakfast was okay but minimal although you can’t expect much due to the price. The pool was not clean so we didn’t use it but overall with some TLC it could be an amazing place.

The properly is in a great location near the beach and overlooking a rice field. We had a private room which had two fans and there were not many people in the hostel and no one in the next room. The staff were friendly and sorted out our dolphin tour.

The owner is very friendly and helps to create a cool atmosphere. The hostel itself is pretty basic and small but still ok to use as a base to explore Lovina. A simple breakfast is included in the very cheap price.

The facilities are filthy. I understand that it's a basic building that caters for the budget traveler but a bit of time giving the place a clean and a bit of tlc would go a long way. Loose wires with light switches handing down etc. My room had a fan that sounded like you're in an airplane on further inspection I noticed the inlet air filter was so blocked it was rattling trying to suck in air, after a good clean it was working loads better and much quieter. Just a bit more care is all that's needed. I also needed to buy my own pillow slip.

Attentive helpful staff to the needs of the guests. A good couple of games of chess had and the food tasted good, it was just on the cold side.
