Wonderful greek-inspired hotel. Everything is well designed in detail even with a Mykonos-style windmill and beautiful gardens. Must stay here if you come to Maurere. Great, bright rooms, modern good bathroom, good aircon, quiet lication. And also good wifi. Very welcoming staff and a very nice manager who reallt cares about his guests and can give tips, arrange a shared taxi and help to get an "ojek" (motorbike taxi) or rent motorbike. We enjoyed also the delicious breakfast with great choices and home-made marmelade and fresh fruits. Dinner in restaurant excellent, too, with reasonable pricing. They offer also cold beer. And they had a library with german books. There is a beach nearby (15 min walk) , east of hotel. Ok for swimming at high tide. Also nice for beach walk and beach has a beach-side cafe open at day-time. Ojeks and minibuses (normally crowded) go along the road , one does not need own transport.

NetherlandsI was lucky to have picked Anjo for my visit to the Maumere area. It's a real gem, just 5 min from a quiet beach and 10 min from town. The service level of the entire staff is definitely up to western standards. The food in the restaurant was delicious and some of the fruits and vegetables come from the property's own garden. You might be tempted by some of the beach accommodations in the area, but the people I met in the restaurant and at a snorkeling tour who stayed closer to town all struggled with sleep due to traffic and karaoke parties, which seem common practice. They wished they had booked at Anjo. So, from one traveler to another: look no further.

We travelled 6 weeks in Indonesia, ans Anjoa Maumere Hotel was our best place to stay. Really stylish space made with a lot of love & passion. Very clean rooms, delicious food & very welcoming service. We loved pur stay at Anjo ☺️ We are very glad and thankful for the wonderful time spent at your beautiful oasis. 🏡 Can recommend it to anyone who is planning to visit Maumere. GermanyThere was nothing not to like. It is both close enough and far enough from Maumere town, and while Anjo doesn't have direct beach access, there is a private beach with beach pavilions and restaurant just a few hundred meters down the road.
This truly is a unique place to stay in on Flores. Located off a small through road you will find yourself in a little greek oasis with two ensuite rooms and two 6-bed dorms. Taking inspiration from the greek island of Santorini, locals Josef and his partner have created an island feel in white and blue, with amazing attention to detail. After many weeks of indonesian homestays this was a surprising and welcome change. The super friendly staff keep the place absolutely spotless, and the restaurant provided delicious indonesian meals. Josef is super helpful and can help organise anything from snorkeling trips to new scooter tyres. Absolutely loved our stay at Anjo's.

Hotel is located near beach also facing beautiful view of mountain beside! a bit outskirt of town but only 10 min by bike you can rent from hotel! It is one of the best hotel I've ever stayed in whole Indonesia! Room and all facilities are extremely clean! bathroom also literally spotless!! Really enjoyed breakfast with toast, egg selections, home made jam, fresh fruit juice, a plate of fresh fruits and really nice coffee from espresso!! having in beautiful garden full of flowers and great view was amazing!! Staffs are exceptionally friendly and kind! always ready to help with beautiful smile! And Joseph, manager of hotel, arranged everything I need from all transportations, Mt. Egon trekking tour, diviving trip, visa extension or so! Even provided medicine for me when I was a bit sick, and also bring me to Apotek for translation!! They are Not just staff of hotel but more of family! taking care of me and feeding me!! At first I booked 2nights but stayed here 8nights!:) I will definitely recommend this hotel everyone and will be back if I visit Maumere again!!

IndonesiaI.stayed at the dorm designed for 6 people. Surprisingly the bunk bed was very comfortable to sleep. The shared bathroom was alao super clean, bright and pleasant. And the staff, everyone was very kind and friendly. The room came with free, sumptuous and tasty breakfast, served in the nice restaurant upstairs. Very good Flores coffee. I found the whole accomodation was very good value for money. Perfect place for backpackers. I will definitely stay here again.

IndonesiaDefinitely one of the top 3 places I stayed at in Indonesia. The hotel is beautiful, the terrace is super charming, the food is excellent, the staff incredibly friendly, and the owner is always around and went out of his way to help us organize taxis and activities. It's the perfect place if you're looking for something like "family vibe" but still very high quality. Long story short: if you're in Maumere, don't miss it!
