IndonesiaThe location is quite perfect, very close to the mount batur starting point. Nyoman was very nice and found us a guide the day we arrived at a fair price. We only booked it for the night we were going hiking, si didn't get much sleep anyway. But the room is very poorly insonorised you ear the neighbor very loudly and the streets. We thought that it was a good ratio for the price you pay. Just so you know, the town is infested with flyes but this has nothing to do with the hotel it is everywhere Thank you again Nyoman

IrelandThe walls are thin so the guy in the next room kept me awake. Also, ideally it needs electric sockets nearer the bed so a phone can be charged within reach of the bed.
Wonderful host, really warm and welcoming and the room was ideal for my main key issue which was affordability whilst still being a pleasant stay and it totally delivered on both these points. The garden area is immaculate and the whole place is clearly tended to by a host who cares about his property and guests.

MalaysiaAlthough the fish was cooked local style, Malaysia has much much better fish! I was happy just to try. The internet was horrible. It really messed up my plans as I was not roaming, relied on the guesthouse's internet to research about the place and see what's interesting around Batur.
Love the location! The owner also farms shallots. The garden is well maintained. Location is next to a restaurant they own, selling Tilapia fish caught from the volcanic lake. I got a room with a nice view where I can see the mountain at the lake, just as I open the door.

DenmarkBring earplugs if you are a light sleeper because the road is pretty noisy and the walls are paper thin. It's mostly a problem if you want to go to bed early when people are awake as it becomes very quiet during the night. Also, flies are an issue everywhere around Lake Batur. The wifi doesn't work (but there's a warung nearby with decent wifi that the staff can help you find).
The banana pancakes for breakfast was really good and pretty big which was super nice! Good location for climbing Batur. A few good warungs in walking distance. Very nice staff. We expected cold water only, but we had hot water all 3 nights we were there.

The location is perfect. You can go walking from the hotel to mont batur trail. The staff is nice and arranged us a taxi for a day trip. The banana pancake for the breakfast is awesome!!!

The owner was so generous with his time, made you feel like part of an extended family. Beds also super comfortable. Would certainly go back.

Very homely feel, great hospitality and great view of Mount Abang infront. Basic necessities, and as the weather there is cold (about less than 16degree at night), there are no fan/aircon which is good. Breakfast was good too. Staff was also friendly and helpful! There are few food vendors outside too, and a mart nearby.
