Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaAmazing Stay at Santorini Amed – A Highlight of Our Trip to Bali! Staying at Santorini Amed was truly the highlight of our time in Bali. Waking up to watch the sunrise over the volcano on the other island and the ocean was absolutely magical. It was such a peaceful and memorable moment, especially seeing the fishermen returning from their early morning out at sea. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, tasty, and a perfect start to the day. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Made went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. He even helped arrange a driver to take us into central Amed, which made our stay even smoother. We also loved snorkeling along the coast, so much vibrant marine life and crystal-clear water. It was the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend Santorini Amed to anyone visiting Bali. We’ll definitely be back!

AustraliaGiven there is no restaurant, there isn’t much of a social atmosphere. However, food can easily be ordered from nearby restaurants and is delivered promptly to your room!
Absolutely loved my stay here. Fantastic value, gorgeous views, very peaceful. Lovely infinity pool, and right on the beach. Highly recommended if you want somewhere peaceful to relax.

CanadaAs a solo traveler, finding a place that feels safe, warm, and quietly soulful is everything, and that’s exactly what I found at Amed Santorini Villa. Tucked away in the peaceful coastal village of Amed, this villa was more than just a place to stay. It felt like a soft, welcoming hug. The setting is dreamy: perched just steps from the sea, with white and blue accents that echo the spirit of Santorini, but grounded in the heart of Bali. My room was cozy, clean, and opened to the most incredible ocean view. Each morning, I woke to the sound of gentle waves and light streaming through the windows. The atmosphere invited slowness in the best way. No rush, no noise, just the freedom to simply be. What touched me most was the kindness of the staff, especially Made, who welcomed me with quiet warmth and gentle care. As a solo traveler, I felt safe, supported, and genuinely looked after without ever feeling overwhelmed. I spent my days exploring Amed, snorkeling in the clearest waters, enjoying local warungs, and soaking in the sunsets from the villa’s peaceful perch. Traveling alone can sometimes feel isolating, but here, I felt connected and at ease. There was a quiet sense of belonging, a feeling of home even far from home. Of course, no place is without its small quirks, but they only added to the charm. The villa doesn’t pretend to be a luxury resort, and that’s exactly why I loved it. It’s real, it’s sincere, and it’s offered with heart. If you’re a solo traveler looking for a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and be met with kindness and authenticity, Amed Santorini Villa is a beautiful choice. I arrived alone but left with my heart full and memories I’ll hold onto for a very long time. So much love, Reena

IndiaNothing in particular to complain, the fans were a bit old and were noisy, AC in the villa can be added more, there were 2 functional and 1 non functional.
The location of the property is a bit far from all the commercialised sections of Amed which makes it great for that extra peace, although Amed is in itself a very quiet little town. The location of the villas being sea front adds to the glamour! Superb sunsets!

Czech RepublicIf you choose smaller cabins, it is possible to hear neighbors if they are noisy, but that can be expected almost everywhere. Otherwise, I did not find any serious issues.
The main advantage was the view of the sea. The staff was very willing to help. There was an option for massages in the room at a reasonable price. The breakfast was good. Since we liked it here, we extended our stay. We even stopped by again after a few weeks. They even lent us a sarong and gave tips on the trips.

AustraliaThere are about 65 stairs from parking area to villa door - sounds ok ….but each step is about 300-350mm high so you need good knees and reasonable fitness.
The property was very chilled and waterfront Lovely staff …Made, ADI and Ketut Amazing views Great breakfasts Local warungs were great — green Melon, eka Purnama etc

United KingdomReally fantastic place! The staff was sooo kind and helpful. Special thanks to Made Pande who is very hard working and went above and beyond to make our stay easier!! He is a real asset to the hotel. We had a villa to ourselves which was better than what we could have ever expected: large size, super comfy and cozy, nice bed, breakfast, great bathroom, breathtaking views from the balconies... all in all very high standards for the area. The architecture is beautiful and there is real attention to detail in how it is fitted. The snorkelling just outside the villa is amazing too, with sea turtles almost guaranteed if you stay long enough in the water and have a good eye. The location is far away from central Amed which is great is you look for more peace and quiet like we did. But youll likely need a scooter. Also beware that the whole complex is downhill and steps are steep to the villas so only suitable to reasonably fit people. Finally it might be tricky if you are super sensitive to bugs. As the bathroom is open, youll likely meet a fair number of (probably harmless) millipedes, beetles, ants, etc. But it didnt bother us too much: it was 100x worth it!

NetherlandsWe booked the Ocean Front Duplex option at booking.com but this was the only one that didn’t included breakfast; too bad it wasn’t even an option. If this was included with breakfast dan this made the experience even better.
You are 15 metres away from the shoreline, so the view was amazing. Everyday we chilled at the nice spacious balcony. From there you could see in the early morning almost hundred fisherman coming back with beautiful individual colored sails. In the late afternoon we took a swim at the nice pool wich had the nice view again. The whole experience was great.

United KingdomThe stairs are very steep so had to stop for a breather every few! I am 67!!! Unless you have mobility issues not a problem. Good for the glutes! They only serve breakfast so you will need to hire a scooter to travel 5 or 10 mins to restaurant. It’s all worth it though.
The views are stunning! So peaceful and quiet. It’s a real hidden gem. The staff are so helpful especially Made. Nothing was too much trouble. Fab pool. Would definitely come again.

AustraliaThis is on my partner 😅 she would’ve liked more breakfast options. But in my case “easy going person” breakfast were perfect and delicious. Perhaps including fridge in the room will make the difference 😉
The hospitality. The staff specially by the man MADE (his name) in charge. A young Balinese guy, what a gold hearted guy. This place is beyond perfect thanks to Made. View sunrise and sunset are stunning and the room balcony makes this moments even better. The kitchen location absolutely superb.
