How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewWe arrived about 9.30 to 10pm, & still needed to have dinner. Reception could not help us as the kitchen was closed, not even for a lite snack as my wife needed to eat something in order to take her medication. The bedroom door did not close & seal properly, rattled all night & the room was not very clean.

Room was very very poorly maintained. It was not as pictured on the site... Holes in ceiling dripping water, shower screen door hanging off the hinges, multiple holes in walls, all furniture cracking and splitting, NO HOT water for shower or bath, shower head broken, no extra toilet rolls, kettle was broken, no teaspoons for tea/coffee station, front door frame was pulling off the wall also no safe in room, exposed power cords and bathroom did not could slide shut... Stair case had multiple broken tiles.. We left 2 days early

The room that I stayed in needs to be renovated especially the bathroom. The sinks were outdated and rusty. there was some type of stain on half the mirror. The shower door didn’t close properly so there was a lot of water on the floor. My room faced the street and it was very loud.

Cleanliness of my first room at first floor upon arrival was terrible. Bunch of hair in the shower room, no hot water, curtain fall off. But after asking for room move, i got better room at 5th floor facing to toll road which is slightly cleaner and fresher.

Verified reviewWhat a wonderful affordable place to stay. Not 5 start luxury, but does what it needs to. Would stay here again. Staff were brilliant and attentive to any requests. Food exceptional. Away from the hustle and bustle of kuta, but close enough to go there daily for a few $$ in a grab.
Could use some updates, but did notice they were starting those when I left. Air conditioning units on the balcony make them very hot, depending on which side you're on..

Didn't look like the photos advertised but good enough. Bike rental here is way more expensive than other places (about 50k a day)

Verified reviewThe super friendly staff, the size of the bedroom, clean. I had a good stay here, though it was not perfect (see what I didn’t like about the property)
The property is not very well maintained, yes it is clean & seems to be maintained at glance, but if you try to look it in a more detail inspection you will notice; you could see that some of the bamboo gates are missing, the lift is old, the curtain looks okay at first but if you noticed the inner part, oh it was torn, things like that. Super sad to see this beautiful property in that kind of condition. I hope the management will improve the maintenance of the property.
