Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsJust some small points to improve, overall it was great: Breakfast was great, but the wait was quite long. The stones in the shower are a nice idea but very uncomfortable. A little seat in front of our room would have made our stay even better!
Alora House must be the best place to stay in Tetebatu. The view from the place is just stunning! Robbie is super friendly, he does a great walking tour around Tetebatu. The breakfast is very nice. Our room was spacious and light, with a comfy bed and a small fridge. They rent out good quality scooters. It is a bit far from restaurants at night, however Robbie can order food for you which is so convenient! We absolutely loved staying here.

NetherlandsJ: I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I spent 2 incredible nights. Alora house lays in the middle of the rice fields. The view from the terrace of the room is beautiful and gives a great look of the nature surrounding the property. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom is outside which adds charm to the place. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed by Roby (host and guide) and the Alora team who played a huge role in our stay. Roby was a great guide, listening to our expectations, cultivated, funny and super musician. I learned a lot about Tetebatu. In the morning breakfast was brought on the terrace of the room, I recommend the banana pancake: it was delicious! 🤤 M: Alora house is amazing! It is a quiet, magical place surrounded by nature. The house is great, clean, spacious and fits so well with its surrounding. Roby has been the most fantastic guide, showing us around in the area of Tetebatu and really taking his time for us. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at Alora house. Would love to come back again!

SlovakiaThe shower is not covered so we were not able to take a shower during the rain. Sometimes the mosque callings can wake you up, but Lombok is a muslim island. Other than that it was really good!
The highlight was definitely Robi, the local guide that works here. My wife and i went with him on village and waterfall tours and it was definitely worth it. He can explain everything in nice detail and he showed us the local life. The house looks very nice and cozy, we had a pleasant stay. Everything went well. It is a secluded area, so there are not many restaurants around. We did not have a bike, so we ordered some food from Robi.

NetherlandsThe outside seating area on the porch could be a bit more comfortable.
Great stay in the heart of Tetebatu. Cute houses with a large bed and a shower outside which is nice. Roby was a great host and showed us around the villages and through the ricefields. Food options are limited (we were there during Ramadan) but ordering through Roby went well and food tasted great!

HungaryI am not a big fan of outside bathrooms because of insects. The property is at the end of a street, you will need scooter to access the city and prepare for some walk.
The room is very nicely designed. It was clean. The staff was very kind and helpful, they were addressing all our requests and questions. You can also rent scooter at the property and they will arrange you a driver as well if needed.

SloveniaOur stay at Alora House in Teta Batu, Lombok was nothing short of incredible. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy bungalow that felt like a home away from home. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the friendly feline residents, Bruno and Tristan. Bruno, the wise and gentle grey and white cat, and Tristan, the playful and energetic orange kitten, quickly became part of our family. Roby, a truly exceptional staff member, made our experience even more memorable. His infectious laughter, intelligence, and passion for Lombok's natural beauty were contagious. He guided us through breathtaking rice fields, cascading waterfalls, charming local villages, and the enchanting black monkey forest. The food at Alora House was simply divine. Both breakfast and dinner were a culinary delight, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and expertly prepared dishes. The bungalow itself was impeccably clean and comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a day of adventure. Overall, our stay at Alora House was an immersive and incredibly positive experience. We highly recommend this gem to anyone seeking a tranquil and authentic Lombok getaway. We can't wait to return and reunite with our furry friends and the wonderful staff at Alora House.

AustraliaIt is a little difficult to reach by car because of the narrow and mountain roads. To get around, scooters and motorcycles are more suitable. And visitors need to get prepared for mosquitoes.
In spite of a short stay, interactions with staff have been fun. Thanks Roby for his kindness and hospitality. Accommodations are well maintained and in good condition. Bonus are 2 cute cats, who are happy to play with guests. Would be happy to come back to explore more in Tetebatu next time.

RomaniaI recently had the pleasure of staying 4 nights at this hidden gem in Tete Batu, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best accommodations I've experienced in Lombok. I couldn't find any other place as beautiful and tranquil as this one, and the price is unbelievably affordable. From the moment we arrived, the host, Robi, made us feel right at home. He was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to assist us, from renting a scooter at a fair price to offering valuable advice on what to visit nearby and planning our itinerary. His hospitality truly made our stay memorable. The room itself was spacious, boasting a minimalistic modern design that felt both cozy and stylish. It had everything we needed, including a desk perfect for remote work. While the internet was a bit spotty at times, it was manageable and didn’t detract from our overall experience. The bed was exceptionally comfortable – we had some of the best sleep during our trip here. A standout feature was the outdoor bathroom, which was not only beautifully designed but also functional, with good water pressure and hot water. Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was absolutely delicious, setting us up perfectly for a day of exploration. Additionally, the small cooking area on-site provided tasty dishes whenever we wanted a meal. The accommodation is quite new, which might explain why there aren’t many reviews yet, but trust me, this place deserves all the praise. It’s truly a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Tete Batu area. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Lombok!

I stayed for 3 nights here and enjoyed it a lot! The Hotel is brand new and of course in really good shape! Location: Located in the middle of rice fields with beautiful view! Nevertheless, if you want to explore the surrounding villages and nature you need a driver or a scooter since in tetebatu there is no public transport. Room: Definitely the most beautiful rooms I have has during my travel! The room is extraordinary large and beautiful designed! The bed is really large and comfy (soft). You have a nice terrace where breakfast is served and chill. Service: The hotel arranged for me a scooter as well as helmet for a fair price and both in good condition. The hotel is having an own tourguide. I booked with him a day-trip through rice fields as well as waterfalls and on the other day a visit of traditional local markets as well as traditional village. He is really professional and patient! He is explaining a lot and without rush and taking really good care about his guest and making sure for high quality and making the most out of the trip. Food: You have the possibility to enjoy really good local food in the hotel. The employees cook it freshly and big portion. I liked the food a lot and all days within my stay dinner at the hotel. THANKS for everything, I enjoyed it a lot!

The addition of slippers is lovely. The staff are so friendly and helpful and caring. Some of the best hospitality I’ve had in the whole of Indonesia. Seriously. The view and surrounding nature is so peaceful too. I cannot wait for more people to experience this beautiful place and the beautiful people that work here.

Austriathe place just opened and they have the friendliest staff, including a chef, who prepares delicious meals. one of the two cats always makes sure, that you are ok, as she comes by multiple times a day to meow her stories to you for a minute 😁 the bathroom features an open rain shower, so you can see the stars at night. even, if you don't plan any guided tours or getting a scooter, you can still enjoy the landscape in close proximity. at least two beautiful waterfalls and the rice terrases of course. very quiet at night.
