The blackout curtains didn't provide enough coverage, it was already quite bright in the morning. The Place is close to the big ferry, whose loudspeaker announcements you can hear clearly during operation time - forutnately it does not disturb during sleeptime. Blue lagoon beach is not that big and it was disappointing. The color is not that blue, there was pure underwater visibility due to quite strong waves and there were over a dozen ships with snorkeling and diving turists.

I was on the first floor, which had a nice view, the hosts were kind. (I did not used the pool because there was big rain))

Padangbai used to be a hidden gem, now it's literally a transshipment point for the fast ferries as far as tourism goes. and about the only place in Bali where you truly get endlessly harassed by the local operators.

Nice breakfast, nice room, nice pool, nice owners/staff. Absolutely nothing to complain about in regards to Alola Inn.

the rooms themselves are very simple and correspond to 2 stars, you shouldn't look for great comfort here. the strong point is the very friendly owner of the hotel, who helped us with the transfer (provided the cheapest price to Gili) and prepared a very tasty breakfast. the hotel itself is 6/10, the owner is 11/10 😎

It was difficult to carry our bags up all the stairs, however we ended up leaving them in a room downstairs and just taking up what we needed for the night.

It was a good location for a one night stop over before heading out to the islands.

The entrance to the property is a little ramshackle but they are fixing it up. It is a good budget option for a night before catching an early ferry.

We stayed one night before catching ferry to Gilis. Marco the owner is very friendly and helpful. He organized our ferry tickets within minutes of us arriving so it was seamless and cheaper to book with him. Harbour is walking distance so very easy to get the boat and there is a beautiful beach also a very short walk from the property. We stayed in a room that was newly built and everything was brand new and extremely clean. Breakfast was very nice in the morning.

quirky, a little exotic, laid back. The proprietor made me a delicious fish dish on arrival even though it was quite late and outside normal hours. It is very close to the harbour; Padangbai is a working town and not a simple tourist destination, interesting as such.

The location is great - it was perfect for us for a night before taking the ferry to Nusa Penida. Everything is in walking distance. Lovely hosts and great breakfast. We also loved the decor - everything is so colourful and has character, unlike a lot of hotel rooms!

Very simple accommodation, walking distance to Padang Bai port if catching the ferry. Incredibly friendly and kind staff who made great breakfast and even drove us to the port and organized another transfer elsewhere for us.
