There weren’t many food joints around the hotel within walking distance. They don’t have a restaurant so you need to plan your meals well. There’s no provision of oven or induction cooker in the rooms.

Right on the ocean, you can hear the waves hitting the walls of the hotel. The property is very well designed with spacious rooms and great views! It was spotless and squeaky clean. Great helpful staff, and healthy breakfast options!

WiFi was quite slow, our room was below the restaurant area meaning it was very loud in the morning with chairs scraping, though this may have just been an issue for our room & also unavoidable as it’s just how the hotel is set out

It was LOUD at night and we are not sensitive sleepers. The location is also not that good if you want to visit the famous beaches.

Everything! Of course the hotel is beautiful as shown in the pictures, but added to that, the staff was so friendly and helpful that made our stay just perfect! By far, one of the best hotels I’ve been in my life and the best in Indonesia!

This is a small property at verv very good location! Morning sunrise from one's bedroom on roaring sea was mesmerizing experience. Its a quiet place to enjoy natural beautiful island. Location is far from harbor, but one can easily rent a bike and roam around. Very good water sport center with very safe water sports .. Breakfast at property for pure vegetarians was very good!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful stay at The Alana Penida Hotel! The space is clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and we had great nights of sleep. Breakfast was tasty, with a good variety of options. It’s well located, just a short ride from the town center. They also rent scooters for 75/100/150k IDR with helmets, which was super convenient. Ideal for a short 2–3 night stay to explore the island.

This property is at a perfect location to travel to both Diamond & Kelingking Beach. The view of Mt. Agung from the pool was breathtaking. Our experience was hindered a bit because of AC not working hence we had to change our rooms twice. But apart from that, our stay was comfortable. They arranged the pickup and drop to the harbour for us too. The French toast was one of the best I've ever had. I would definitely recommend staying here.

5 Stars - A Perfect Stay for Our First Visit to Nusa Penida! This was our first trip to Nusa Penida, and we’re so glad we chose to stay at Alana Penida Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth. The staff are absolutely lovely—helpful, kind, and always smiling. The hotel is beautiful, with stylish rooms, a peaceful vibe, and a pool area that overlooks the most breathtaking views. We spent our days relaxing poolside and exploring the island, and coming back to Alana each evening felt like coming home. Do yourself a favour and order the French toast for breakfast—it’s next-level delicious! Couldn’t have asked for a better base for our Penida adventure. Highly recommend!

Around midnight some guests used the pool and were talking very loudly, which disturbed our sleep. Clearly, it should be a quiet time. We informed the hotel via a Booking.com message, but received no response. Eventually, we had to step out ourselves and request the guests in the pool to lower their voices. The hotel should implement a clear policy and mechanism to manage such situations, especially since all the rooms are located around the pool and this kind of disturbance can affect all guests. The staff apologized next day. We also booked a taxi through the hotel, assuming it would be a safer option. However, the experience was disappointing. The service was outsourced to a third party, and the drivers were not professional. I would not recommend booking transport through the hotel. The hotel itself appears new and has a beautiful design. However, signs of wear and tear suggest that it is not being maintained as well as it should be.
