I had a great stay here, the owners were really sweet and friendly, even gave me a motorbike ride to the agency to help extend my visa which was super nice. I ended up extending my stay, it's down a quiet path away from the hustle from the busy road. You can hear house music from the pool club next door throughout the day but this didn't bothered me, overall affordable place to stay for quietness

While this cannot be helped I did request a quiet room but my windows opened on to the pub next door, so I had music every night. It was not a huge issue but worth mentioning when you book. I would definately go back but request a different room.

Room was spacious and clean with a big bathroom. Central location. Great owners, always around and did laundry, not included in price, but I was happy to pay. Nice to not have to take laundry elsewhere.

Despite being located some distance from the main road, the music from the local bars was audible and kept me up sometimes (all the music stops by 11pm though). The wifi was very slow - I often switched to mobile data.

Breakfast was very good and the owners were lovely :) The room was in a courtyard filled with plants and animals such as a turtle and birds. There were a couple of friendly dogs too. The family running the place were friendly and helpful.

The traditional architecture is really cool & nestled away in a court yard was a perfect way to escape the busyness of Ubud. Lovely family & great value for money!

No house keeping for longer stay, unless we ask then specifically. Advertisement had Aircondition for additional charges as optional, which we opted, but the electricity tripped. So gave up aircon.

The best thing, like most places in Bali is the people and the family at Alamanda were amazing. Breakfast was also very very good, loved the banana pancake. Locaion is perfect to walk arround Ubud, the area is full of nice restaurants, a wide range of prices.

Minor things - Lock bolt on inside of both rooms I stayed in didn't fit together, so had to lock myself into the room with the key at night. Water pressure in shower a little low.

The room is quite old, so don't have AC and we got only one power plug for the two of us, so that was calling to charge and have a fan working at the same time.

It's a cosy place. good location and the family is kind. we got a misunderstanding about the breakfast, they didn't clarify the price when we did check-in.

It's definitely not for light sleeper like me. The room was right next to an alley road and a live music bar and with very poor noise proofed windows. It was noisy with live rock bands playing next door until 11:30pm and motorbikes running randomly during the night. The family members are up early and you can hear them working. The bathroom could have a better shower head and better water pressure. Mine was with very low water pressure. Maybe hand soap could be provided as well.

The room was simple but very clean. I am surprised to read the negative comments on cleanliness in other reviews. Maybe they've improved it after those comments. The location was good enough.

great location just a short walk to monkey village. room was comfortable and I appreciated the fan. aside from a situation with the laundry mat which they offered to resolve, I enjoyed my stay.

The room was unkempt and smelled musty, small insects inside the room. Until 23.30 there is the folk club that do not make you sleep.

The location is great and the place quiet. The staff was good.

The room was quite broken down and not very clean, it would need some renovation. The fan was really noisy and the music from a neighbouring accommodation was loud, so it's difficult to sleep.

Close to center and low price, but wouldn't come here again.

No towel/ bedding change but I'm sure had we asked they certainly would have ( several accoms we've stayed don't automatically do this unless you ask) we had our own so wasn't a problem Nothing we didn't like - just to highlight you may need to ask 😊

Excellent location down an alley off Monkey forest Street where plenty of shops & bars, eateries etc, grab taxis & local taxis readily available, ATM across the road, places to book trips etc all on doorstep. Entrance to accom looks & inside is like the photos, like a temple & very spiritual in looks & vibe with koi & turtles too! Room good size, basic but fine for us, aircon (extra) wasn't working but fan sufficed, big comfy bed & excellent breakfast available 😀 laundry service quick & efficient- the host family are wonderful & nothing too much trouble, lovely friendly people - we extended our 4 nights to 7 and were here during celebrations Galungan, all in local dress placing offerings & doing blessings for ancestors - beautiful to see & be part of - if you want authentic balinesian homestay & Food rather than a resort type accom then this is an excellent choice whilst in Ubud - wouldn't hesitate to stay again - couldn't fault a thing 😊
