Strange entrance as it is next to the shops or between the shops but it does not really matter as everything was OK with the room

I arrived late, almost at midnight, and called the property. I spoke with a lady on the phone and apologized for waking her up. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean. However, the bathroom needed more cleaning as there was a lot of hair that clogged the drain. I love the location; it's less than a five-minute walk to Ubud Palace. If I return to Ubud, I will definitely stay there again.

Not any room to park in front of the accomodations. A little difficult to find. Pretty small room but it was cheap price so you got what was paid for.

Standard but clean room. Good pillows and beds. Bathroom was basic but clean and didn’t smell. They cleaned the rooms every day.

Room was clean with a table, chair and wadrobe with hangers. towels, toilet paper, shampoo and body wash were there. I met the owner. she was very fine lady. The lady at reception was very helpful.

It looked nothing like these photos.. I felt like I was in a dark basement ...The room had bad lighting and was dark, very old furniture , no fridge, no safe, cold shower with no curtain that soaked the toilet ... I read good reviews before booking so was confused as completely different when I got there .. it was cheap so I guess you pay for what you get.. will not return..

The only thing I liked about this was the location, right in the middle of Ubud near the palace

The old fashion in a good way of our room decoration, the big balcony and the AC which helped a great deal to sleep a lot better than with only a fan...

This hotel is very well located down town, but still very quite. The entrance is very basic, but our room was spacious, well decorated and quaint like we like and with a big balcony looking over a piece of jungle. The bathroom was big as well and worth to be noticed we had an AC which is rare in Ubud, especially in this price range.

There was a mix-up in the arrangement to pick me up at the Denpasar airport, which was not the fault of Agung or her husband (there was a third party involved in the arrangement and the whole thing ended up in confusion). I'd advise people to simply get a Gojek or Grab car from the airport so as to avoid any such difficulty. I got a Gojek ride myself in the end and my actual stay at the Alam Pangkung guest house was great. As regards the room, I would suggest brighter main lighting.

Agung, my host, is one of the kindest people I have met. Despite her own very busy schedule, she always went out of her way to be helpful to me. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable, the WiFi was good, and the location was ideal for me for getting to the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival. The helper, Madi, was very responsive and made sure my room was clean and equipped with everything I needed. I very much appreciated having a balcony, and greenery outside my room. I highly recommend the Alam Pangkung guest house.

It was sometimes noisy from the rooms above. When anyone moved their chair on the tile floor it was loud enough to wake you.

The staff were really friendly and the rooms was clean and spacious. The location was very central and it was walking distance to everywhere.

The room was damp, we were in the basement and it smelt so bad of damp. I wouldn’t stay here again and it’s not worth the money. Couldn’t comment on how clean it was as it was so damp

I think it closes its doors at 10pm, so be careful if you're heading out late - worth checking! WiFi was not great. It would have been nice to have breakfast at the hotel but it's very central so it didn't really matter.

The room was brilliant. Really clean and comfortable. It was of a better standard than other similarly priced hotels I've stayed at. The location was good but taxis find it difficult to park as its on a very busy main road. Nice private view from bedroom.
