Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceHidden gem in Tetebatu, bungalow is very comfortable and well decorated, nice common area in a garden, food is amazing (you should try the chicken satay). Roni and his family are lovely and make you feel at home. One of our best experience in Indonesia, highly recommended!

Super friendly family at the homestay, we really enjoyed our stay here. The bungalows are very comfortable and clean, the dining area is a shared table with sofas so you can chat to the other guests and the family. It feels very cosy and communal. Highly recommend doing the rice field tour, it was the highlight of our trip, we got to swim in the waterfall and had it mostly to ourselves. Alex was a great tour guide and taught us a lot about rice farming and life in tetebatu. The food cooked by Ronnie's family is delicious and you're welcome to stand in the kitchen with them and help out and learn how to make the curries. Would definitely come back here!

From or hotel in Selong Belanak to Tetebatu is a beautiful trip. And when you arrive at Al Sasaki in the middle of a kampong the welcome was warm and friendly. They have 3 rooms and they are clean and comfortable. The staff makes you feel at home. If you like to cook you can help with preparing your lunch or diner. We cooked together with the other lovely guests and we had nice conversations during dinner. Roni is an entertainer and speaks good French and English. After dinner he played guitar, asked for requests and we sang along happily. What a nice atmosphere and a lot of laughter. During our stay they can arrange various tours if you want and in the afternoon they will gladly show you how to make coconut oil and "kopi Lombok" (coffee). Our tour through the rice fields was great. Our top guide showed us all kinds of herbs, plants and leaves that the locals use. The area is very cool to scooter through. You get a nice impression of the normal life there. We also stopped at a location where they make all kinds of things from bamboo. Also nice to see. Quite labor-intensive. We stayed 3 nights and can recommend this to everyone. The ideal location to relax, read and enjoy the area. Roni also arranges the transfers. Our advice is to make use of that. Have yourself picked up from the hotel, after all the driver knows the route. On the way to our next hotel in Kuta, the driver was told that I had left my Ipad and headset in the drawer. Stupid of course. That day another driver also went to Kuta and he personally delivered it to us at the hotel. Well, do I need to say more..? Once again special compliments for the sweet and helpful staff. And Roni, much success with your guesthouse and all the best for you, your family and the entire family.

RomaniaWe had a great time in Tete Batu @ AL Sasaki. Roni is a really nice host and he made us feel like family. The house is very clean, the AC was a +. Breakfast / lunch / dinner - yummy! We took the tour they offer on the rice fields/ waterfall/ monkey forest and it was totally worth it (just make sure you put a lot of sunscreen on). We even made it to a wedding ceremony with Roni and also learned how to make the coconut oil with the ladies of the house. Totally enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it to everybody.

FinlandNot really about the property itself, but there's three mosques near by and all of them start prey calls and singing around the same time and are not in sync. Sometimes it lasts for an hour, so better pack your earplugs, if waking up at 4.30 is not for your liking.
Everyone around were super friendly and made you feel welcome. Room was spacious and as described. The yard looks really lovely. It was nice to cook with the family. The trip to rice terrace and monkey forrest was excellent, I learned so much! Even got to try planting rice myself.

Would love to give 11 if I could. From the first moment we felt so welcomed. Became really part of Ronis Family, would recommend to stay here min.2 if not 3 nights to do the 2 tours they offer. We also went to the natural swimming pool on the first day and had a big family dinner on the last day. We will miss you

United StatesWhat a beautiful experience this was! Such a warm and welcoming family. It was more than just a room it was like an oasis tucked inside the village. You could feel the rich history love and attention taken to create and care for the homestay. There were a number of fruit trees on the property that Ronnie was so happy to share any that were ready with us. YUM! It was so fun to participate in and learn how to cook our meals. It was like taking an immersive cooking class every night! Felt like we were really a part of the family. We had a blast on our day trip tour with Yon through the rice fields, waterfall, and monkey forest. We also got to stop and hang at a coffee shop where they make their own spices and we were able to pick up some yummy cacao, cardamon, tea, black cumin, and macadamia nuts. After our tour we went back to the homestay to learn how to make coconut oil with them and got a bottle to take home with us. The coconut crisps that come up from the process are delish...you gotta try em! It was really helpful and comforting to have the option to be picked up from our previous stay and driven to our next stay from here. Very accommodating. We didn't have a stay scheduled after here and Ronnie was helpful at recommending our next stay. So cool how connected the people of the village are. You can really feel the love. This place is very special. If you are in the area and it's available, take advantage! Thank you for a wonderful experience. We love you!!

Our stay at Al Sasak was very enjoyable. Our room was quite large with a good size Ensuite. Everything was clean and dining area was very nice. The staff were fantastic, warm and welcoming. We interacted with the prep and cooking of meals which was cool, and a ladies also prepared traditional stuff over open fire. Yen took us around Tetebatu on tours, so no need to book ahead. We could not have wished for a more warm and friendly stay. We were kind of sad to leave. Thank you to Rose, Yen and all of the staff who made us feel so welcome. Glen B

SwitzerlandGreat place into the jungle of tetebatu, very nice garden Rooms are well equiped for the standard, no AC but as it is in the jungle, the temperature is perfect and there is a fan in the room. You can eat on the facility but the must is that you can prepare your meal with the family (great tips on perfecting your satay ;) ) A lot of activities with Ronny (visit rice fields, craftsmanship, waterfall, Rinjani departure…).
