There is no transportation available in the vicinity.. bike/ car etc to roam around. We had to go to Banyuwangi station to arrange for a scooty on rent. Maybe that could be arranged in the property.

The place is very aesthetic, peaceful and the staff is very helpful. They helped us with the mobile charger since we did not have one and also with the laundry.

Location depending on what you’re there for. Not too many shops or restaurants around but for the Ijen tour and to relax it’s great.

Lovely homestay, room was great - good nice and comfortable to be in. Can arrange Ijen tour through the homestay and was really good and well organised. Kitchen was appreciated.

We liked the outdoor bathroom, but some might find it not easy to enjoy especially it's hard to ignore the ants on the ground.

We loved Tommy's beautiful yard! The facilities are all nice and good. It was a very good experience in our trip in Indonesia. Tommy helped a lot to book us a tour to ijen.

A bit noisey in the morning hours however we were provided with some earplugs which was great and useful.

We loved the contemporary decor, half-outside bathroom, lovely staff and they also helped us book the Ijen tour. The value for money is fantastic

Location à little far from the city center and mosque noise which woke up at 3:30 am (but there is earplug provide in the room).

Very nice place, well decorated. Spacious room with outdoor bathroom. Very good breakfast. Our host also organized private excursion for Ijen mont (1500 k for 2).

First, it is not mentioned in the description that there is not hot water. Then the owner was just gaslighting us about this issue, pushing this back on Booking.com. Also lots of mosquitos.

No real complaints, the shower was pretty cold even thought it was advertised as warm, but also the shower tap seemed to be broken, it worked on cold but when turned to hot the water simply turned off, wasn't a big deal but in the morning its nice to have a luke warm shower. I wanted to have breakfast as it said that it was optional extra, but there was no menus, no options it appeared and no offer of it so im not sure how it worked.

I needed a place close to the railway station as I was coming from the other side of Java, and going on to do Ijen hike. so this place was ideal. The place was quiet and chilled, a fair price, it did the job for a few days.

They don't serve food but can recommend a few places within walking distance, dining options in the immediate vicinity are still a bit limited though.

We stayed here one night before hiking Ijen and loved the homestay. Beautifully decorated, quiet and comfortable. Definitely would recommend staying here!

The nature and the ambience of the room. Staff were kind <3. Kitchen outside and koi pond ads a nice touch The only thing I would recommended in the narrow top window on the wall has an optional shade so it can stay dark in the room when the sun is out in the morning. The plant by the shower might need trimming as it’s kinda in the way when you shower outside :L

Everything was great. Just to let you know, there is a mosque closed to the homestay and they pray often during day and night (it was Friday) so it can be quite noisy (bring earplugs with you). The bathroom is cool, it seems to be in the jungle, but the shower is open-air and the water was not so hot, just warm, for us it was ok.

The Adara Homestay is a really nice place, clean and with stylish furniture. The host Tommy is great! He is always available, he came to pick us up at the train station for free and without asking and he brought us to grab some food since it was late to go to the restaurant and, also, organized the Ijen trip for us which we highly recommend!
