Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Central location on pest side of Budapest. 20 mins drive to historical landmarks and tourist sites. Member lounge has great snacks and drinks collection if you are staying at the top floor. Also, there’s an entry to the adjacent mall from within the hotel which is super convenient for shopping.

LuxembourgThe reception staff was kinda unhelpful and confused. The area surrounding the hotel was not the best with beggars and sketchy characters. The price/quality ratio did not live up to the hype of a Crowne Plaza place.
Location is good, next to the train station and tram. This comes with some sketchy characters like any other big train station. Staff looked a bit lost at the reception, but they were lovely and helpful during breakfast. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of choices. The room was on the small size for a group of 4, but it did the job for sleeping a night. Bonus for the underground parking at 7000 HUF a day.

United StatesWe stayed at this hotel for Formula 1 and had a truly exceptional experience thanks to the incredible service. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued. Every request we made was met with a “yes” and handled promptly, no hesitation, no excuses. Their responsiveness and genuine care made all the difference and turned our visit into a memorable experience. We were especially impressed with the front desk team, who were consistently friendly and efficient, making check-in and every interaction seamless. A special thanks to Jason at the bar, whose warm hospitality and attentive service really stood out and added a personal touch to our stay. The hotel also made the best effort to assist us with last-minute transportation to and from the circuit, which was a huge help during the busy Formula 1 period. It’s rare to find a team so dedicated to ensuring guests feel comfortable and appreciated throughout their stay. We couldn’t have asked for better hospitality and will definitely return!

NorwayBreakfast felt a bit limited considering we had already paid extra for it during booking. While we did receive breakfast, the selection was bit small. Some items, like different egg options, were only available at an additional cost through the à la carte menu, which didn’t feel justified given the prepayment.
Beautiful, well-designed room in a very central location. The suite was spacious, clean, and perfect for a comfortable city stay.

NorwayNow, in the interest of fairness, and because no review is complete without a touch of realism - I must mention that our room faced what I can only assume is one of Budapest’s most beloved speed-testing corridors: a major road that transforms nightly into a makeshift Formula 1 circuit for local taxi drivers. The 2 AM Grand Prix was not on the brochure, but it came free with the view. That said, this is not the hotel’s fault, just ask for a room which does not face “Váci út”, as mentioned the staff is extremely helpful and I am sure they will accommodate your needs for silence. Speaking of local colour however, allow me to briefly warn future travellers about the underpass at Nyugati Pályaudvar - the nearest major metro station. Describing it as “gritty” would be a disservice to actual grit. It’s more of a sensory experience: a heady cocktail of four-day-old urine, lost hopes, and the lingering spectres of long-defunct shops. Unless you’re taking the metro, or you have a fondness for urban decay and the scent of despair, I’d strongly suggest taking the slightly longer above-ground route. Yes, it’s a few steps more, and definitely hotter in July, but it doesn’t smell like a cursed public toilet, you’ve been warned. Again, none of this is within the hotel’s control, and is definitely no reason to pick a different hotel, but it is good to know, so consider yourself warned.
From the moment we stepped into the hotel, it became abundantly clear that friendliness is not just a corporate value here - it’s practically a way of life, a nice level up from the outside world. Whether at reception, in the restaurant, or through room service, the staff consistently delivered the kind of cheerful helpfulness and it worked: we felt genuinely welcomed, whatever we asked for it was instantly delivered. Thanks Robi, Betti, Lajos, Patrik and everyone else whose name I can't remember, but regardless made our stay a fantastic one. The location? The hotel is seamlessly integrated into WestEnd City Center, one of Budapest’s flagship malls. It’s not “close to the shops” - it is the shop, literally a door away. You can go from elevator to shop to impulse purchase without ever feeling the 35 degrees outside. Practical? Extremely. Dangerous to your credit card? Definitely. Breakfast deserves its own paragraph. A splendidly abundant buffet offers something for everyone, whether you're a croissant + latte macchiato minimalist or a five-plate maximalist - while the kitchen staff whip up fresh, hot options to order. Everything was tasty, well-prepared, and generously replenished, so there was no need to wrestle a stranger for the last sausage. Upon entering our room, we were delighted to discover a complimentary bottle of traditional Hungarian red wine and a handwritten welcome note, the kind of old-fashioned, personal touch that feels increasingly rare and makes one briefly nostalgic for a time when hospitality meant actual hospitality. Needless to say, both the wine and the sentiment were very much appreciated. The room itself was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully arranged, with a large bed + sofa that were genuinely comfortable (as opposed to “hotel comfortable"). Most importantly, and this cannot be overstated, the air conditioning worked. During the unforgiving July heatwave, this was nothing short of life-saving.

The male staff at the reception on our arrival and the host welcoming guests at the breakfast were absolutely amazing! Professional, polite and always willing to help. Customer service was really good, also if you need to print out you can use the printer next to the reception. The location was quite convenient, walking distance from the Parliament and the river.
