Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaThe only small downside was a slightly noisy contactor in the electrical panel, but it didn’t affect our overall experience.
Good stay at. The hotel is modern, clean, and directly connected to the thermal baths, which is a huge advantage. Room was comfortable, food is varied and tasty, and the staff is attentive and helpful. The connected SPA leisure centres are well-maintained and perfect for relaxation. Not cheap but good value for money – highly recommended for a relaxing spa break and food.

HungaryThe food quality has grown way down over the years we have been coming here. The buffet is full of overcooked sub par food and you can tell this by the amount of food being left on the plates. There is a lack of fresh food. It’s all the same every day.
The rooms are nice, with a balcony. Cleaning staff are very cordial and the room gets cleaned every day. Includes entry into the thermal baths which we enjoyed. On the Saturday of our stay we were invited to a garden party with snacks and wine and beer which was very nice and appreciated. Thank you

Czech RepublicEverything was perfect!
We enjoyed a wonderful three-day stay at the Hunguest Hotel – Eastern Wing with the all-inclusive package, and everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel offers a direct entrance to the thermal spa, which was extremely convenient and allowed us to fully relax throughout our stay. The cuisine was absolutely excellent – a wide variety of delicious dishes that pleased even the most demanding tastes. The staff were always friendly, professional, and very helpful. We especially appreciated their flexibility in allowing us a late check-out, which made our departure much more comfortable. The rooms were clean and modern, with very comfortable beds that ensured a perfect night's sleep. Another highlight was the unlimited access to the wellness area, which we took full advantage of. Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and I can highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for relaxation, excellent service, and top-class facilities. We will definitely come back!

HungaryThe bathtub that you have to step in for a shower is super slippery and I hurt my knee slipping, when I got in. A non slip Matt would be appreciated
We stayed in the west wing and it was everything we asked for. The price includes the entrance fee to the thermal baths next door but not the sauna. We paid 3200 forint per person per day for the extra sauna. I asked the hotel to put in a kettle and 2 mugs in the room for us and they had it ready for us at check in. We are very grateful for that. The beds are comfortable, the bedding is nice and there was daily housekeeping with fresh towels.

SlovakiaThe beds were a little too soft for my liking and the pillow was a bit too hard. But that is my personal taste and other guests may prefer soft beds. The bathroom only has a walk-in shower and no tub, which wouldn't be an issue. However the glass door is too short and if you have anything near the shower while you're in it, it will get wet. Sliding doors would be a more suitable style. The number of uncooperative Czech tourists soured our vacation experience. The restaurant inappropriate clothing (flip-flops, socks, sweatpants, tank tops, etc.), messy dining, loud noises and extreme misuse of the all-inclusive bar was likely not possible for the employees to control. I would appreciate a more stern approach from the employees when it comes to warning guests.
We have known the Hotel ex Répce (east Wing) for few years now. The rooms have been very nicely renovated. The food was delicious as always and there's a wide range of meal choices (buffet style). The employees are very helpful and welcoming to the guests. The hotel is very clean. The spa entry is very simple using covered glass hallways. I appreciate the employees doing their best to speak English, German and Czech to best accommodate their guests. It's a great hotel and we will definitely return, but as we all go to a spa to relax and unwind, we should be mindful of the other guests.

Czech RepublicBeautiful hotel, comfortable rooms, excellent food. The only thing that spoils the experience is a group of boorish Czechs who act like they own the place, are loud, address the staff informally, and insist on speaking only Czech. I was ashamed to be from the same nation.

United StatesI had good wifi in my room, but the signal went in and out, mostly out, for my friend at the end of the West building. Very frustrating when the hotel is supposed to provide connectivity. Staff was mostly indifferent. It would have been nice to have a clock and coffee maker in the room, even a cheap hotel in the US provides that. We checked in at the West building, but had to go all the way over to the East building to check out. Makes no sense...aren't they on the same computer system???
The location was excellent. We were able to walk over to the thermal baths without going outside. The food was top notch, as it was the last few times I stayed before it was Hunguest. They must have kept the chef.

United StatesThe walk from the hotel to the pools was a little long. It would be nice if pool shoes were provided. Some of the areas around the pool can get very slippery.
The mineral pools were wonderful. The dining, breakfast and dinner, was excellent. The location is delightful. It is good that pool shoes are available in the gift shop. The steam room and sauna are very hot. Plan on sticking to the guidelines for use.
