I didn't have any chance to find some drawback since we stayed here only one night. However, since first look is positive there is no crucial ones.

The fantastic location right on the shores of Lake Balaton. The staff is friendly and welcoming, doing their best to accommodate guests' needs. While the hotel is modest, it provides great value for its price. Rooms are clean and comfy.

There was someone make-up product under bed, no air conditioning, crazy amout of mosquitos but i quess thats the price you pay for being so close to balaton

The hotel is like from 90th century. The equipment is old, the net was missing on the balcony door. I recommend buy something to the electricity before insects. In the apartment was fridge and air-condition, the jug kettle was missing.

Very nice location - next to lake. In the are small fast foods, where you can buy lunch/dinner. The apartment was space, balcony a nice view on the lake, clean apartment. You can try water attraction like water bicycles. Big kitchen on the ground floor, where the guest can prepare the meal.

Old hotel (maybe from '70) some new furniture mixed with old and superficially reconditioned. No A-C - and we have a room at the last story. It was a scorching hot night. Not to much from a 2 star hotel but still room for improvement.

You get what you pay for! So, don’t expect tea/coffee in room, air-con or any snack/meal service except breakfast. Warning - in June it’s a long walk to get any food as the few places close by are closed for the season!

If you have fear of spiders this accomodation cannot be your choice. Plenty of dead insects smashed on the walls of the room and this fact hugely downgrade the rating of the place. Sarcasticly you could join your fellow holidayers' conversation in the neighbouring room, corridor or balcony. The cleaners probably started early every morning because we could hear them shouting on the corridors before 8 already.

It was right at the public beach side with perfect breakfast between 8-10 am but if you don’t buy breakfast for 3300 HUF/head/breakfast you still could pay for a coffe only 450Ft at the reception. Surprisingly there were no mosquitos at all this year 😉

I know it’s a cheap hotel but the state of it is just horrible. Rooms full of dust, a loud fridge, more importantly splattered bugs on the walls everywhere. Paint coming off it. No airconditioning (forgot to read that, I guess it’s mentioned) so you’ll just have to endure heat waves with a single fan. No amenities. And it’s loud. Very echo-ey hallways. Just all very unpleasant.

The location really is nice. In a more quiet part - if there ever is - of Siofók. Right next to the lake, rooms with (partial) lake view.

While we were staying there was indeed a plague of non-biting mosquitoes, and the hotel cannot be blamed for that, but our first room wasn't very clean, smelled and the curtains were torn. Some efforts on cleaning would be highly appreciated 🙂. Fortunately we were relocated free of charge to a very nice studio on the same floor (just missing the air conditioning, otherwise perfect).

- For "westerners", the hotel offers a unique retro experience by its look and design and gives you an idea on how the vacations were more than 36 years ago back in the communist era. I personally loved it. I understand some wouldn't. -Staff are extremely helpful and willing to help. -The location is absolutely fantastic, you are right on the shore of the Balaton. -Snack bars right next to the hotel -Parking easy -Dogs are allowed everywhere, which is rare nowadays. -Comfortable beds -Good value - Some rooms are nice and spacious, others.... - We will definitely come back 😊

This hotel feels like it wasn't renovated since 30 years, everything was old. There was no Wifi at all, even though they stated that there was, I've asked the staff and I was told that sometimes there is no internet on every floor. Big issue in the summer that there is no AC, neither any fan so it wasn't easy to stay in the room.

The best was the location, directly on the beach, not crowded at all during peak season. Lidl supermarket close by and bus to the city centre. The staff was friendly and was accepting dogs, which was a deal breaker for me. The room was ok size and clean, big balcony with nice view. Easy parking.

The hotel Plazs was not yet open so they replaced it for us at the same price for a better hotel Color Balaton with swimming pool and spa center. This hotel has great location and perfect host. Not that far away from the city center and it is very close to the lake. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly. It deserves every recommendation. We hope to come here again.
