I parked my car in the street. The next day my car was full of bird poop I had to clean. Breakfast was served in a location across from the accommodation which was inconvenient. My room was on top floor, under the roof with a small window above my head, which was recommended not to be open because of an air conditioning device that could barely make some cold air. It was at least 25 degrees all the time, including the nights. I was sweating all the time. Nobody cleaned the room during the 5 days I stayed, not even took the rubbish which was piling up.

The breakfast was OK, it is centrally located and quite close to the Gyula Varfurdo. They provide a parking ticket for the car in exchange for 5000 Huf, which is returned on the day of leaving.

The location has a gaming club/ disco, outside terrace across the hotel and the noise coming from it can be heard from the rooms. Our room was a bit too crowded (nothing like the pictures), I hit my toe on the edge of the bed. Also, the walls are thin. If it happens to have noisy people next to your room, it can be quite disturbing.

The place was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was close to everything.

We didn’t bring any toiletries and there were none in the bathroom for us to use.

Our room was clean and decorated nicely. We loved the romantic vintage look of the room. The property is close to AquaPalota aquatic centre and other facilities. There’s a great restaurant on the Main Street that had Romanian dishes and the waiter spoke Romanian. It was a plus for us as we don’t understand Hungarian at all.

Spiders and spider-webs around the windows and some of the furniture. The shower room was rather smelly and the towels were extremely old to the extent that we felt uncomfortable using them. Check-in is a bit of a nuisance as keys need to be collected from the pub opposite. The shower wasn’t working properly. There is a busy pub with outdoor seating just opposite the building and the guests were rather noisy until about 11 so we had to close the windows to be able to go to sleep. The biggest let down was the fact that the ad on booking.com is slightly misleading as it suggests that the deluxe apartment has a kitchenette. The receptionist then explained that there’s one suite in the building with the kitchenette, the rest of the apartments are just bedrooms with a shared kitchen. This is not stated clearly in the ad and we were under the impression that we booked a self contained apartment. The door handle was stuck when we were trying to leave the apartment but there’s no-one to talk to in the building about issues that need resolving. One of the pillows was so thick and hard that it was not possible to use it for sleeping. We ended up putting the cover on a decorative cushion instead to have one pillow each as once again, there’s no-one in the building to talk to and ask for a different pillow. The entrance hall has a fridge, a cupboard a microwave and a spare bed in it, which is a bit unusual!

The location in terms of accessibility is perfect! Attention to detail in terms of interior decoration is appreciated although some a bit outdated.

No parking, very poor equipped kitchen, loud noise from other rooms and outside ( heard someone snoring the entire night ) Couldn’t watch tv because we had to choose if we want the TV or the Fridge to work

The dirty badsheets were in front of our room for 2 days, the stairs were very dirty and smelly… We didnt have normal light in the barhroom…

It wasn’t very clean, you don t understand from the pictures where you will stay, we had a room with no ventilation and we weren t allowed to open the windows . The breakfast was extremely crouded .
