How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIt was close to the airport, 5 minutes by car (the hotel has free parking) or 15 minutes by public transport (bus 266/236 + 200E). The city centre was 40 minutes (bus 266/236 + train to the Budapest Nyugati station). We bought 24h public transport tickets and the train inside Budapest was included. So the location is good for the price. Our room was very spacious, we had wardeobes and a table and the bathroom was OK. The free wifi was working well. After check out we could leave our luggage at the reception till the afternoon when we left Budapest.
We had no chair in the room although we had a table. We didn't take the hotel breakfast because I read bad reviews about that. We went to the Aldi which was 4 minutes by walk and bought nice pastries there for breakfast.

Verified reviewClean room. Shuttle to airport was quick and convenient. However, about half an hour later, then I was told it was going. Only use it if you are not in a rush.
This hotel (?) Is very close to the airport. People staying here are travelling with BAGS. But there is no lift to go to the first floor. So, expect to climb the stairs with all your luggage. Then they don't give you a remote to the aircon, unless you go down and ask for it. Is it regularly stolen? How can they not know who stole it when they do the room up? Then, the queen/king size bed has only one bedding/ pillow... WTF??? You have to go down again and ask for the bedding. They say it is in the cupboard, we are supposed to do it ourself. WTF again.. Lady comes up, turns out it is not in the cupboard. Then there is no kettle, no mugs, no coffee, no sugar, no tea, no water glass. I stayed in hundreds of hotels, motels. There was not even one where these basic facilities were missing. It looks like the manager of this hotel has never stayed in a hotel in her/his entire life. I put a questionmark next to the hotel because with these basic faciliies missing, I don't even know how the call themself a hotel.

Verified reviewHotel room was nice and spacious. Pretty clean, the only issue I noticed was a broken shower head holder on the wall. Good location 15 minutes walk from 200e bus stop.
I specifically chose this hotel because they advertised airport shuttle, but it turned out that they have just one vehicle, and it was fully booked for the night so I couldn't use it. This airport transfer service isn't reliable, I had just one backpack so it wasn't a deal breaker for me.

Verified reviewA great place for an overnight stay after arriving in Budapest, it's conveniently located near the airport, and the staff were very accommodating despite our late arrival (2.5 hours delayed). The room was clean and comfortable. We had an air conditioner in our room, which was brilliant.
I can't think of anything negative to say. Everything was fine and good value for money.

Verified reviewIt was a short distance from the airport. The bus stop to the city is very close by and a shuttle bus service is available 24/7. Breakfast was good. The bedroom was very basic but clean and comfortable.
I arrived very late in the night and it didn’t feel great especially as there were lots of men outside and it is located in an industrial part of the town and has lots of cars parked around it. The person behind the desk gave me my key and I had to find my room in the darkness as there were no lights in the corridor. It was ok for a 1 night stay.

Verified reviewThe location near to the airport is good.
Although they answer the question of a restaurant with YES on the website, there is none. Arriving in the afternoon, we needed supper. We were told there is a restaurant "just 5 minutes up the road". All we could find was an Aldi. I have to use a stick for walking and the "walkway" along the road is simply non existent. Very disappointing. The bathroom was terrible. mold in the shower, hardly any water coming out of the tap (but good thing because it also did not drain). All accessories ripped out of the wall. no place to put your soap in the shower, no holder for the shower itself, no towel rack, no toilet roll holder, simply nothing. Totally run down.
