How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

As always at this hotel, a friendly smile and warm greeting meets you on arrival. Wonderful location, a comfortable bed and a great selection at breakfast. This will continue to be our go-to hotel in Budapest.

Parking costs are too high in the area if you stay for many days. Is not hotel fault for this... is the municipality prices for parking. Try to go in weekends 🙃 😀... is free of charge.

Pillows felt too soft and when we split our bed no second sheet in the closet.
The location was superb, close to square and popular street with good shops, eateries and restaurants. Easy to access subway and close to Danube River and other tourist attractions. Breakfast was good and the room are comfortable and clean.

The reception is good and the rooms need to provide the needs of a resident in a four-star hotel, such as a gym and a swimming pool, and the availability of supplies for the resident. The location is excellent, but the breakfast is not varied and the lobby is small.

Pillows should be changed. Too slim.
Perfect location to visit Budapest! All important points just in a walking distance. Or you can reach underground in few steps. And situated in the most tourist loved street. Good variety is offered on breakfast.

Breakfasts were good, it was great that each day there was something else to choose from, but the selection could be bigger. We had already been in this hotel a few years ago and the the selection of food for breakfast was larger then.
Great location, nice room and a very friendly stuff. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Location: within walking distance to most attractions, and one of the best streets in Budapest, Vaci. Staff: extremely helpful and very friendly. Cleanliness: spotless Breakfast: was my highlight, varied and rich. Breakfast staff are an amazing group!

Nothing to dislike
Everything, wonderful location, beautiful room, good size. Great breakfast in the morning, good value and we were able to leave our luggage in there luggage store after we had checked out so we could spend the day in Budapest.

Very clean, accessible, close to the centre and had parking next door.The staff were amiable and helpful, they all spoke very good English. Breakfast was excellent. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

The only negative I can mention was the parking. We filtered for hotels that had parking, as we had a car and we didn't want to leave it on the street. Upon arrival, a couple had a query regarding the issue, and they've been told that the parking on the street is free for the weekend anyway, and the hotel itself charges, so they are better off parking on the street. I don't necessarily think it's the hotel's fault, as I also didn't check the description properly, as it was a last-minute booking, and we were also lucky enough to find a parking space.
The staff was super friendly, they accommodated all of our requests with no fuss and overall, we had a great stay. We even had a power outage in our room, which was addressed straight away. We read some negative reviews about the breakfast, but to us, it was perfect as we had a little something for everyone.

The hotel is renovating the dining room, so instead of giving a pleasant feeling in the lobby, they took away the coffee machine, fruit, and cookies that are usually available. It was very lacking, especially when you are used to this service, and it's a shame.
Love the hotel and the generous staff. This is our fourth time at the hotel.

Everything was perfect as it always is at this hotel. We were last year over the New Year, but the staff on reception recognised us which was lovely. Fantastic location and a very comfortable room with good breakfast choices. We will be back next week!
