How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The breakfast setup is not ideal. There is a basic selection for continental breakfast for a takeaway to a room, but one would expect that to be in dedicated space. But you get breakfast, and if you are not picky, it is good.
The hotel is clean, a little difficult to find, but the location is good for the visit of Budapest if you look for a budget. There is also a private parking space for a car, which I really appreciated.

good location, close to Blaha Lujza teri public transport and the Keleti railway station. Lidl and Aldi supermarkets near by. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast okay. 24 h reception service, staff very nice and helpful

I didn't get water even though it's in the description, the toilet seat can't be lifted, the shampoo dispenser in the shower is empty

Shower cabin is problematic, needs to be oiled. Second floor room, there is a strange smell of damp in the bathroom. Cleaning is poor, even when I first entered the room the floors were covered in dust. There is constant plumbing and water noise from the adjacent rooms.
Location is very good, metro and tram options are very close.

Only slight negative is that the Hotel isn't very well sign posted and you have to buzz the Hotel anytime you require access.
Brilliant location near loads of nice bars and a Metro station nearby. Excellent value for money as I only paid around 30 EUROS for 1 night which is great for a solo traveller.

The room had no carpets at all, which was surprising, and not very pleasant in January, but a small inconvenience.
The property was a tad "hidden", first we walked by it, because it is deeper in a courtyard, but once found everything was fine. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean and well maintained. It is a small room, but for the price is a fair value. There was an extra heater in the room, which I really appreciated, the bathroom was surprisingly spacious, and also very clean.

The room was quite dark as the window faced an enclosed courtyard, creating a “tube” effect. The entrance to the property is not very noticeable. The bed in my room was extremely creaky, making it uncomfortable to move. Additionally, basic amenities were missing—there was no shampoo, a glass or a cup in the room.
The stay was reasonable for the price. Breakfast was satisfactory, offering a variety of options like boiled eggs, yogurt, croissants, and more—a good start to the day. The towels and bed sheets were clean, and the room was warm. The location is excellent, being very close to the railway station and the iconic New York Cafe. The staff was exceptionally friendly.

The amenities in the room are not the best (a kettle in the room would improve it a lot)
