Beware that Balaton is invaded by non-biting mosquitoes during summer, so be aware of that. They don't bother you much, but they are many.

It was close enough to the lake without being in the noisy area, the place was clean and modern enough to be pleasant, and the free parking was a plus.

Hotel used its own exchange rate from Euro to HUF although I didn't make payment at hotel. In reality we paid a little bit more than the price shown at booking.com. There weren't shampoo and body soap, just hand soap. The hotel is close to the railway, so there were noices during night. However it was fine with closed window.

Friendly staff - English speaking, early check-in was possible and they let us leave our bags after check out. Very good breakfast - fresh, tasty, warm and cold options, fruits. Everything was refilled and enough. Close to the main beach, although we didn't use it much but there was a small swimming pool.

Rooms could use an upgrade but there is no real reason to spend time in them since Lake Balafon is about a 5 min walk.

Cleaning missed our room one day.

The breakfast was absolutely stellar, the rooms were nice (altough a bit smaller), the beach was 5mins of walk from the hotel and the pool was really handy when it was melting hot outside. Would recommend!

Pool area was quite small, this wasn’t an issue whilst we were there and never had a problem getting a bed though.

Very clean room, really close to train station & within walking distance of everything. Breakfast was nice with great selection of different things including different milks.

The vicinity of the lake and location is very nice. There is a pool and very nice garden. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is pleasant.

The only thing that I was disappointed with was that I wasn’t able to get a bottle of water in the evening after the “café was closed”. In actuality, it was really it was just a matter of unlocking the little refrigerator of beverages and selling me a bottle of water or soda, but they wouldn’t do that. And, unfortunately there wasn’t anything in the room’s mini fridge that I could have just drank instead.

For the price, Dorris was really great for my short stay in Siófok with my 2 teenaged kids. There were certainly bigger and fancier hotels, but I appreciated the quaintness of Dorris. It was close enough to walk to the lake during the day and to the strip with restaurants, bars, and fun entertainment, while also being far enough away to be quiet and peaceful when we were ready to sleep. As much as we liked the room, really enjoyed the breakfast!

The pillows in the room could be better, and 8 digit code to enter the room is a bit complicated if you are running out of RAM memory. But in general - no complaints at all.

Nice, simple, cozy hotel with a swimming pool. Not too many people, really nice breakfast and small yet good rooms. The location is good as well + private parking makes it even better.

When we asked for a friend of ours to leave his luggage in our room until he could check in to his hotel in a few hours, we weren’t allowed and the response was rude.

Room was sufficiently spacious. Bathroom facilities were clean and decent. The pool area looked nice. Cleaning, bedsheet changing was done daily.

Bathroom in the Standard Queen Room was behind retractable door and you could also easily hear people walking behind the main room door in the corridor. Really noisy surrounding at night if you leave open windows (trains, cars, etc.) but AC worked fine. Swimming pool is located right in front of hotel, we were really not feeling for swimming in front of other guests walking by all the time.

Doris hotel is just few minutes around the corner from the Siofok beach, all restaurants and bars, ferris wheel and also in walking distance from the Water tower and museum location. Parking behind the hotel is a great plus. We were also happy with the staff (always helpful).

The noise of partying youngsters and sirens and loud cars and music throughout the night. The room was dated, the corridor massively echo-y. Tiny sink and the general lay-out of the room was awkward. We booked last-minute but did find we overpaid for what we got.

Excellent location - walking distance to the strip and in the other direction the train station and ‘downtown’. Small but nice pool. Friendly staff, mostly very young people who really try to make everyone comfortable. It’s a family hotel with enough seats to enjoy outside and enough pool beds for everyone.
