How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

It was way too expensive, and when I visited the spa, after 30 minutes I was alone, and they switched off the saunas

I'm not sure if this is the rule of the house, but nobody changed our beds for the entire stay, and they were not even touched. The only thing done was replacing the towels, stuff in the minibar, and remove the rubbish. Also, there are no tea/ coffee facilities in the room.
This hotel is good for a night or two. It offers a good breakfast/ dinner but with no atmosphere.

Nice hotel with cosy rooms. Breakfast was good. Also the wellness was nice though small. Rooms big enough, bed comfortable.

Excellent boutique hotel, very well situated, right in the heart of Gyula, within walking distance to all of the main attractions (including the waterpark). Very friendly staff, ready to help you with everything that you need during your stay. Great food, a lot of options both for breakfast and for dinner (we reserved the half-board meal plan), congratulations to the cook.

Hotel is not respecting the politic regarding childrens. According to the statement, childrens up to 18 years old are not considered adults but at the check in, the politic is changing.

The water in the jacuzzi is not very hot and also the spa area is a bit cold. Also, the air vents communicate with the kitchen somehow and we were woken every morning by the smell of fried eggs and bacon.
We loved staying here, the hotel is very close to both the city center and the waterpark so you don't need your car to get around (plus we received a free parking ticket for the whole stay). The room was exactly like in the pictures, clean, warm and quiet. You have everything you need during your stay, including bathrobes and amenities. There is a small spa at the 1st floor, breakfast was delicious (not very varied though, same thing every day but it's fine for a couple of days). We will definitely come back!

The rooms wasn’t so clean, in the bathroom, there were urine spots on the toilet, didn’t have soap, didn’t have flip flops in the room, the bathrobe was grey color instead of white (it was supposed to be white, but seemed very used- it gives you repulse to wear it, just can’t accept how the visitors are “respected” to be offered this bathrobes), the pillows were very used and in a bad shape. We felt the smell of food every morning in our room- the smell of fried eggs). Very poor food, we have been in other 4 stars hotels in Gyula and the food was more superior than here. Very disappointing was when after 1 hour since the dinner was opened, some dishes were finished and they didn’t refill it. The staff was very nice, just the hotel needs to improve the service&quality for the visitors!
The location is quiet. Good neighborhood.

The spa is not open when you would normally use it: in the morning or in the evening. It is good to have the breakfast included in the price, unfortunately, it is not the tastiest. My last comment is more about taste but I found the beds too soft.
Super location, the hotel is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and pubs. The staff is polite. And the room was quiet.

The parking is in the street, there are no parking places reserved for the hotel, and first you have to find a parking space available, during weekdays this can be problematic. The bathroom had no heating at all, it was cold like a cave. The heating in the room was available only through the ventilation system in the ceiling which was very noisy. The furniture is a bit dated.
Excellent location, central, good breakfast, possibility of having dinner at the hotel, possibility of using sauna and the hot tub.
