Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Well appointed spot inside Old Town. Nice service staff. Convenient location and fun to stay in a historic location. Breakfast was simple and good.

The bedsheets were scratchy.
The property manager/host was amazing. So helpful and friendly. Great location and good air conditioning. We left very early in the morning and they made us a meal to go.

We didn’t find an iron in the room. At the breakfast the omelette was served plain, I wish we could have some vegetables or cheese with some greens stuff.
Everything was ok, the room was clean and we had AC that helped a lot. We also liked the design of the room and also the location of the villa.

Perfect location and beautiful and spatious room. The staff is the best part, especially Miki and Obrad who made our stay truly wonderful. Just because of two of them, we will come back again for sure

Amazing Stay at Villa Teuta – Highly Recommended! We had a wonderful stay at Villa Teuta! The accommodation was incredibly comfortable, clean, and beautifully maintained. We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere and the attention to detail throughout the property. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed — from local tips to arranging transportation. If you're looking for a comfortable and stress-free getaway, Villa Teuta is the perfect choice. We would definitely come back again!

Wouldn’t change a thing.
Beautifully renovated villa in the heart of Trogir. Excellent staff, lovely patio dining with generous breakfast. Rooms are modern and clean, and bed is extremely comfortable-best sleep the entire trip.

Location is perfect, close to the entrance of Trogir and within a couple of minutes of the Cathedral of St Lawrence/main square (but everything is so close by!). It's a very high end boutique hotel. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated, the staff are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fabulous. We had dinner one evening and the food and wine were superb. Everything about Villa Tueta is wonderful!

The location was in the heart of the old city. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The building was from the 1600s and the room beautifully reflected the old building.

Proximity was perfect. The restaurant and breakfast was excellent. The staff were so friendly & helpful. The manager was incredible. He drove from Trogir to Split with an important item we left behind!!! Doesn’t get better than that!! So helpful.

Beautiful Boutique hotel. Furnishings are very top quality. Breakfast was excellent sat outside in their small restaurant all freshly cooked and served to you. The owner is so helpful and even called us to tell us the room was ready when we had a very early arrival. Would 100% recommend

The little fridge was filled with drinks you could buy. Prices for that were quite high and we had to empty the fridge to put our own stuff in. Why not affordable prices as a service to their guests, instead of trying to make more money from you

Room was modern, lovely decor, great bathroom. Perfectly located in the heart of the old town too. Jake (not his Croatian name !)was very responsive to pre-arrival queries and nothing was too much for him to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was varied and lovely as well !
