Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNot really a problem but if I had to say something the shower towels were quite thin and a little hard 😊
Location, cleanliness. Very helpful and welcoming host. Shared balcony on the roof was a lovely bonus.

United KingdomSmall minor improvements would be to have an extra pillow available, allowing you to sit up comfortably when reading a book in bed. A small suction shelf in the shower would also help to keep your shower products in.
Perfectly situated in the middle of Trogir, easy walking distance from everything in the tiny city, and just 15 minutes on the bus from Split airport (an hour to Split itself either by bus or boat). Villa Ruzica is set up like an apartment building, all the rooms are rented out and overseen by Ante, who is charming and easy to get in contact with if you have any questions, and he is happy to help with recommendations. There is a sweet little roof terrace available for all guests, perfect for relaxing for some quiet or drying your wet beach clothes. Our room was a small twin room, simple but perfect for what we needed, separate bathroom within the room, and a fridge, which we kept some breakfast bits in as breakfast is not included at this property. We honestly had the best time in Trogir and we loved coming home every night to the safety of our little room.

AustraliaThe bedspread was very minimal and there was no spare blanket in the cupboard. There were only two pillows supplied, all hotels should provide 4 pillows. There was insufficient toilet paper provided for the duration of our stay and I didn't want to call the host to come over. Room was small but it is an ancient historic building so that cannot be helped.
Location Location Location, and cleanliness. The airconditioning was great and the room stayed cool and the window shutters kept the light out. Restaurant Toma down the end of the road is the best value and ambience in Trogir. Host a whatsapp call away.

AustraliaClean room in a great area within walking distance to all the sights of Trogir without being noisy at night. Check in and check out communication with Ante was clear and easy. It’s conveniently located close to the bus stop and easily accessible without having to wheel luggage through many cobbled laneways. Everything that Trogir has to offer is steps away. The airport is also easily reached by a 10 minute bus ride.

AustraliaThere was nothing i disliked but would have been good to have an umbrella on the terrace as it was very hot in the afternoon sun and perhaps some basic crockery on the room as we wanted to have breakfast on the terrace.
Great location, clean and comfortable facilities. Communication with the owners was also great. Had a roof top terrace which was in the shade in the morning and evening was beautiful. Rooms were basic but very functional. Very clean with a fridge in the room.

United KingdomWasn't really anything bad. Maybe a sun brolly of shade of some sort on the roof terrace would have been helpful for us
The location was great - in the old town close to everything but on a fairly quiet street. The room was comfortable and had all we needed and the sun terrace was lovely. Communication with them was really good and we were able to check in early and they were there waiting for us and friendly/helpful

Fabulous location in the old town. Incredibly quiet, we expected some noise but with the window closed we slept undisturbed. We liked having a kettle and fridge in the room and used the small roof terrace to sit out. Great for sightseeing in Trogir and easy to get to Split. Friendly and helpful owner

ItalyThe apartman was in the old town, not even 1 minute from the old town's gate. The location is just perfect, we loved living in this old town house, it was amazing to feel the atmosphre of this beutiful city from it's real center! The room was clean and comfortable with authentic views to the beautiful old streets. All the monuments were around us, we could reach everything with a nice walk. The parking place was just 15 minutes from the accomodation. The owner was nice, and helpful, gave us good tour tips. Thanks for these days!

United StatesThe room was quite a bit smaller than expected, and I wouldn't recommend it if you have large luggage. The main issue was the noise from the restaurant located directly in front of the building. The music was loud, and once service began, the sound of people's voices was very disruptive. To block it out, I had to step outside to shut the wooden storm shutters, then close the inner window completely, which made the room dark and required the lights to be on. It was only quiet after the restaurant closed for the night.
The owner was very kind and allowed us to check in 30 minutes early when we informed him of our arrival time. It was a great help to be able to leave our luggage in the room and go sightseeing. The location was extremely convenient, situated near the gate and right within the tourist area.
