How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We liked the peace and atmosphere in the villa. Breakfast was excellent and the coffee was very good. Close to the center and the beach. Clean room, friendly staff.

Mildew in the shower.
Villa Royal Was close to the town and the beach. Rooms had all required essentials and air-conditioner. Staff was very polite, accommodating and hospitable. Breakfast was included in the rate and they had GF options. The area was quiet.

Everything was perfect
Amazing location, 3 minute walk down to the beach, 15 min walk to restaurants and beaches to watch the sunset. Very friendly and helpful staff.

It was perfect! The host was very kind and gave useful information. I was especially impressed by the varied breakfast. The room is on the second floor with an excellent view. The room has everything you need for a pleasant stay.

We liked and enjoyed everything.

A very good selection of breakfast and I am especially glad that there was fresh fruit every day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and clean. This is my third time visiting this place and I will definitely come again.

I would recommend that if anyone struggles with steps they ask for a ground floor room as there is no lift.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean. We had clean towels every day. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was a good size with superb views from the balcony being on the top floor. It was very useful being able to use the lift in the Hotel Cavtat nearby to get down to ground level where the bars and restaurants were.

the accommodation was what we expected. the owner MIRCO went out of his way to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible, breakfast was simple with everything that you would want, the location was up a short hill near the harbour.the highlight was MIRCO who really went out of his way to make sure everything went perfect for us

The apartment was spacious and clean with everything I needed for a short visit. Mirko was a great host and helped me with recommendations on what to see and how to get around. Breakfast was served at the lobby and was freshly made and delicious. The location is perfect since it's a bit away from the car road so it's quiet but you reach the center in less that 5min walk. I loved my stay here and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Property is at top of a hill but owner advised that we could use the lift in the hotel in front to access the promenade to save us having to walk up/ down the hill.
Brilliant location. Room was very clean and comfortable. Owner was a great host. Even arranged for us to have breakfast packs for our 6 am flight. Very accommodating. Would definitely return to stay here
