Very welcoming and great hospitality. Our friend needed a last minute place to stay and they let him in and even brought out a spare mattress for him.

The shower is pretty small and water got all over the bathroom but there were towels to wipe it up.

The owner (marija) was exceptionally friendly. She greeted us with kindness even when our flights got delayed and we arrived late. She offered cold water and cake upon arrival. The view from the property is stunning and it very close to restaurants and the beach.

The hosts were so kind and welcomed us with a treat and very useful information and tips to visit the town. The location was very close to bus stops and a staircase away from nearby beautiful beaches.

The host Maria was nothing short of kind & hospitable. It was a really quiet area yet close to everything you needed and really easily accessible to the old town & beach.

The beach wasn’t far, but since the property is on a hill, you have to go down a lot of stairs. We didn’t realize this before coming and it was inconvenient. It took a lot more planning to go out for the day as we knew we didn’t wanna make the way back more than once a day. If you’re coming while it’s hot, it’s worth only returning in the evening when it’s a bit cooler. Also, for arriving on the first day, it makes sense to take a cab if you’re arriving with more luggage.

We loved the terrace where we had our own table and chairs. Perfect for chilling outside in the evening. There was also a clothes line, which was great for letting your wet beach clothes dry over night. The property was also fairly close to the beach and an area with supermarkets and restaurants. There’s a bus close by that gets you to the old town. The hosts were incredibly nice and even removed my sea urchin stings when I accidentally stepped into a sea urchin there (not immediately dangerous, but you might want to wear water shoes!) - thanks again!!

Our stay at Villa Bakara was great. The people made us feel welcome, and the room had everything we needed. Situated on a quiet road, it is perfect for a peaceful escape, yet it is only 8 minutes walk to amazing beaches. There are also many restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets in the proximity. What we loved the most was the terrace filled with beautiful plants and a great view.

Almost nothing. I love it there. But it would be nice if theres an iron to use. The faucet in bathroom was a little bit complicated to used hahaha i had a hard time to mix up the cold and hot 🔥 water hahahahha.

It was a little Far from City center but near to the Sea which is very nice. Marija is so lovely and Welcoming.. my Stay at her Lounge is very Pleasant. 10/10 for the Cleanliness. She provided water, sweet PEACHES 🍑 and other drinks. there’s a Big mirror 🪞 in the room which I love it. I took picturesof my OOTD.

This property is excellent!! Host Marija is so lovely and accommodating - she greeted me on arrival with a cold drink and a chat, and also made me snacks every day! The highlight of the property for me is the shaded balcony overlooking the beautiful Lapad bay - it is the perfect place to start or end the day and I will miss it. The house is easy to find, and in a great location 5-10 mins walk from the bus stop to the old city (very convenient!), the many supermarkets, restaurants and atms, and also to the beach, and it is 15 mins by Uber to the bus station/port. There are a couple of hundred stairs to the beach and back but it is worth it, and you can avoid them by taking the longer route by road if you prefer. I would highly recommend this property.

Be prepared for a lot of stairs! You will definitely get your daily steps in ;) Great cardio too!

I have stayed with my two sons for a week. Maria was amazing!!! Genuenly nice and caring, brought us fresh fruit and local pastry, fresh towels every day and carrymats for the beach :) Accommodation was very clean with comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen comes handy if you are too lazy to get dressed for breakfast in one of the cafes nearby. I loved the table on the terrace! Gorgeous views to accompany your cup of coffee or a glass of wine ;) One morning, I even witnessed two little lizards fight in Maria's beautiful flowerbed!Amazing! The area is also lovely! Sunset Beach is spectacular and lives up to it's name, do visit the local Cave Bar, just stunning!

I liked everything

The stay was amazing, everything is well equipped, very comfortable bed facility: mattresses, pillows, linens, what is very important for sleeping well. Very comfortable and equipped kitchen and eating zone, you can cook or heat your meal. Freezer is there, of course. Everything is very clean, nice view, no problems with hot water or anything. What is important as well and useful for me. The Villa is located not far from the beach and walking promenade, just a little bit up hill. There is a equipped stairs to go up and down. To be honest it’s one of the good option if you have lazy vacation - kind of free gym training for legs even 2-3 min up. I do really recommend walking up and down by stairs. There is car access as well. Nearby the Villa there are shops, bars, restaurants, groceries. First place I give to the owner Maria. She is very accurate, kind, considerate and responsive. Millions thanks to Maria. Next time I’m in Dubrovnik - I will stay here only.

The house was situated on the hill, the stairway was a bit steep to me after a long day. The WiFi was a bit slow.

The host was a lovely lady who made feel warm and welcoming. The balcony was very spacious with beautiful mountain view. Good location where was close to bus station, restaurants, shops and Sunset beach. Highly recommended to both leisure and business travellers.

Miss Bakara was an excellent host. She gave us THE TIPS and was super sweet an delicate. The room was very confortable with everything you need. The terrace and it’s views a dream.
