Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe fridge in room 201 was not working properly. Sorry we didn’t mention it to staff during our stay.
A warm welcome at check in which was very efficient. The hotel is in a good location to access local bars and restaurants as well as the Arena etc. Our room although dated and a bit tired, was very clean and spacious. We had breakfast which was varied and plentiful. Meats, cheese, bread, fruit, yoghurts sausages and scrambled eggs etc.

AustraliaIt was a bit far from town and ferry for me as I have slight mobilty issues. .About a 30+ minute walk
The service is what made it for me. The lady at the front desk was very kind , helping me with my luggage and organizing a packed lunch for me as I was leaving too early for breakfast. The hotel is old and hasn't been modernized, which I quite liked ( except when the toilet seat broke and fell off). The rooms are big and actually have views of surroundings, not the wall of next building. It is basic but very clean and good value for money.

United KingdomFor what we wanted and expected, it was great. Nothing negative to say.
Clean and simple accommodation for a stopover in Pula. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were big. They had put our two rooms close together which we appreciated. Location is just a short walk from the old town and the port.

SloveniaThe bed could be comfier and the room had poor lighting (two neon lights on one wall). There was only one dimming curtain that didn't cover the whole window, so the light from the window woke me up quite early. The price could also be a bit lower for a single person in general (not just in this hotel) - I think all the current prices of things (groceries, accommodation, eating out...) in Istria/Croatia are too high.
The hotel is in a nice antique house. The rooms were clean, there were basic toiletries and sufficient towels. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great with a large assortment catering even to those with a sweet tooth. I appreciated that I could leave my bag at the reception and walk around town until my departure.

AustriaWe really missed having a drying rack for clothes. Since the city is by the sea, it would be great to provide one at least during the summer season. Also, the bathroom fan was very loud. Upon arrival, we had trouble getting inside, as the doorbell (apparently connected to the reception) wasn’t working, and the code to enter the hotel is only provided at check-in.
We were satisfied with our stay at the hotel. The price-to-quality ratio was good. Yes, the place isn’t modern, but it’s clean and everything works properly. Keep in mind that there is no fridge or hairdryer in the room. However, the air conditioning is divine! Breakfast is included and quite decent. We’d like to especially mention the very friendly staff preparing breakfast. Be prepared that there is no elevator in the building, so you’ll need to use the stairs. The reception desk is open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. There are grocery stores and a small park near the hotel. It takes about 15 minutes on foot to get to Valkane Beach, and about the same to reach the city center with all the sights. You can also take a bus—the bus stop is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. A single ride costs €0.90 or €1.50. We recommend buying travel passes at the bus station upon arrival. You can get a pass for one day, three days (around €10), or a week (€19).

GermanyClean, not money-intensive, almost central. -------- Lodging in the former "Marine-Kommitee" command of the K&K monarchy in Pula. Public parking limited, counterwheigted by nice & helpful staff and size of the rooms with view over the bay. Available pictures show rooms correctly & honestly. Several shops and food stands in vicinity. Clean, quiet, near to the sea, ideal for taking a pleasant stroll into old town Pula and its other sights. Felt well received, recommended, gladly again.

RomaniaBordering on a hostel-like facility with minimal investment, but it's a giant building repurposed so would cost millions to do well, so all things considered, it served the purpose. Lighting in the room was a turn-off, fluorescent tubes on the wall that would suit a car park not a hotel room, but warm, comfy, good value and basic, so no complaints. Curtain in the room is only half the width of the window. It's a 10 euros piece of fabric to fix this.
Great value hotel,
