Thank you for your review. While we’re always open to constructive feedback, we feel it’s important to address several points from your stay to provide clarity for future guests. Firstly, regarding the air conditioning: as soon as you informed us that it wasn’t cooling as expected, our staff immediately checked and set it to full power mode to ensure maximum cooling. However, as you yourself told us so after your departure, you repeatedly changed the setting back to automatic mode, which reduces the AC’s output . Naturally, with the AC not on maximum, it could not cool the room effectively, especially in the summer heat. You also insisted that the blinking light on the remote was a battery issue. However, our AC system does not rely on battery-operated remotes, and we clarified that at the time. The blinking was an unusual bug — not something we’ve ever encountered before in all the years the system has been in place — and has since been resolved. It was not indicative of a larger issue, nor did we attempt to “cover it up,” as you suggested. As for the stairs, our property is located in Rovinj’s Old Town, a historic and protected area known for its character and charm. When booking, guests are made aware of the unique nature of the buildings. While the stairs may be older and have some natural wear, they are entirely safe, well-maintained, and compliant with all local safety standards. We understand this might differ from modern hotels, but it’s part of the authentic experience many of our guests specifically seek out. Lastly, we take issue with the suggestion that our staff ignored or dismissed your concerns very seriously. Our team addressed every comment you made during your stay, just as we do for all of our guests — a fact reflected in the overwhelmingly positive feedback we receive about our service. We take great pride in being attentive, transparent, and helpful at all times. We feel it unfair to receive such a negative review over something that was clearly not our fault nor something we tried to ignore and pretend we did not care. Our hotel would have not gotten this far and our guests would not have such a positive outlook on our establishment if our team did not work hard and assured that every single person staying with us had a wonderful stay and experienced the beautiful town of Rovinj with us! We truly hope that future travellers and previous returning ones who might be reading this to make a decision, can see and understand that our team is always willing to help our guests and assure their vacation is perfect, which from all the other positive reviews we have received, is clear we are able to achieve that on many occasions. We regret that your expectations didn’t align with the experience we offer, and we wish you well in your future travels.

The Old Town can be quite the maze and so easy to gest lost it, but thankfully as you mentioned already our central location in it makes it quite easy to get back to and find as it is located on the main road leading up to the church.
