The challenge is that Old Town Dubrovnik is accessible by the medieval gates, but no vehicles. So get ready to lug your luggage… Ironically, The Byron has much fewer steps than most

The meeting for the check in was fine, but a little more time consuming than a regular check in. If someone met you to take your luggage or even met at the property it would be better.

We loved everything!

This hotel is impeccable, as soon as you step through the 100 year old door you are transported into luxury. Our room The Cathedral Room had stunning views of the Cathedral and also a well equipped kitchen too. Even though we were very central, we weren’t disturbed by noise.

The location, it's right next to the old town but on a quiet street. There is a hole in the wall close by for swimming. It's a gem of a hotel.

Unfortunately due to the central location,despite being on the highest floor (attic room) the noise from outside at night disturbed sleep on both nights. Not sure if windows can be modified in anyway to minimise the sounds more but it maybe difficult as it’s an old, boutique building.

Great location in the heart of the city and beautifully decorated, with comfy beds and fluffy supply of towels. Providing slippers were a nice touch

What a beautiful apartment at The Byron in Dubrovnik! Impeccable! The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable of the city with great suggestions for sights, activities and restaurants. My husband and I love Croatia and hope to return.

From the moment we checked in at the Kawa shop, as instructed, we really well greeted and looked after by Jon and Sanja. Then we our room was ready we were guided there by Mariana, who helpfully pointed out locations/ sights as we went. The Byron was really well located, a few steps from all the main things and as described , it was a quiet spot. The accommodation lived up to expectation and I have no issues with fully recommending to future potential guests.

The location is ideal. Inside the walls of the old town and close to everything but on a side street so quiet. Really nice room.

The location is exceptional, the staff checking us in was incredible helpful and was very amenable to accommodating us for an early check in, and was also flexible about a later departure for the parking garage. Guide in the room with recommendations for restaurants, etc. was very helpful.

Lots of stairs, making it a challenge with suitcases. But, there are many stairs in the old town, so par for the course!

The Byron has a great location in an old very beautifully renovated family house, next to the cathedral. It is removed from the bustle of the main plaza but still very close. The oddity is that the checking is not at the hotel but in a shop located outside the walls of the old city. Once we got there the staff could not have been nicer in showing us the way to the hotel (a short walk, with no serious steps to speak of, which in Dubrovnik can be a serious obstacle for disabled people). They have answered our many queries with grace and helpfulness. A great place to stay and get the feel of what it could have been to be living in Dubrovnik two centuries ago without the hardships of the time !
