How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

This is one of the best if not the best studio apartments i have stayed at..clean , all you need , there is plenty of parking as well and helpfull owners ! Big compliments for miss Sopta..

The hosts were very kind and always there when I needed something. The location was excellent, with a quiet atmosphere and easy access to public transport, making it easy to reach all parts of the town. The apartment was also excellent, very clean and cozy, with everything you need for daily living. It's also worth mentioning that the heating system is excellent.

The apartment is spotlessly clean and tidy. It has a very comfortable bed. There's everything you need in the kitchen and in the bathroom. The landlord and her daughter are kind, proactive and responsive people. I can definitely recommend both this apartment and the landlord. The only thing that could be a problem is that there's no elevator in the building and the apartment is on 4th floor. It is situated in a quiet area not far from a tram station (3 minutes walk).

Check-in was slightly bumpy, but issues were quickly resolved thanks to great communication.
Great value for money. Location good, under normal circumstances there's good connection to the city with trams. Grocery stores are in close proximity. Apartment itself was great. Communication very good.

There is no elevator to 5th floor. But it is not a big problem.

Everything was great. The location is excellent, with Jarun Lake nearby, and many restaurants and stores. During the day it is no problem to find free parking near the apartment (a bit more difficult in the evening, typical for Zagreb in the evening). The apartment is very clean. The host was friendly and helpful.

Everything was good.
The apartement was as expected and described. It had everything I needed for my 4-day-stay. The apartement was clean and calm. Different shops, supermarkets and cafés are within walking distance. A tram station is near by. Communication with the hosts was easy and they enabled me an earlier check-in, which I appreciated a lot.

Great location, with public transport, grocery stores and bakery close, as well as direct trams to the city center. Apartment was clean with everything you need available. Friendly, polite and super helpful host.

The only minor problem is the TV. It might be a good idea to have printed out short written instructions for guests, just to avoid questions.
Very efficiently furnished small apartment, good for 1-2 people. Well equipped for a short stay. Nice shower. The hostess is kind and friendly.

Everything was great!
Amazing apartment in Zagreb for a great price. The owner is very welcoming and she explains everything! It is close to Jarun lake and it is not far from the city center by public transportation. Neighbourhood is great and has groceries shop and bakery for your everyday needs.

Location was in an apartment block - I wasnt expecting that but people were friendly, helped us with a good parking spot and all was OK!
After being let down by the original booking (refused to answer phone after 22.00 even though we informed them 7 weeks earlier that we would arrive between 22.00-23.00 (Lake side apartment)), it was great that Zagreb West apartments responded almost straight away to our call even though it was late.
