Good location

I am never one to complain and I have stayed in some rookie places before but this was diabolical. Apartment was very dirty. Sheets and towels clearly had not been washed. There was cobwebs and dust everywhere. Under the bed there were old bottles and plastic bags from previous people that had not been cleaned. The floor was just coated in dust and crumbs to the point I had to walk round in shoes to whole time so it didn’t get stuck to my feet. The bathroom smelt foul. The apartment was advertised with a ‘fully equipped kitchen’ which consisted of a fridge, some mismatching bowels, plates and glasses that had not been washed and had bits of food in them and some spoons and forks (not even a knife to make a full cutlery set) there was no stove which was advertised or anything else to make food. I have allergies and therefore specific diet requirements meaning It is too risky for me to eat out when on holiday. Therefore I struggled to make myself food for the week and all the food I brought prior to check in was wasted as I could not even prepare it or as simple as cut up my melon.

I recently stayed at, which fell drastically short of even the most basic standards for hygiene, safety, and comfort. I believe this property presents a clear health hazard and should be taken off the market until it is properly cleaned, repaired, and inspected. What was advertised as a functional apartment turned out to be unfit for occupation in nearly every possible way. From the moment we entered the property, it was clear that the apartment had been neglected for a long time and had not been properly cleaned or maintained. Every room showed signs of deterioration and contamination. The air conditioning units were filled with visible black mold, which is not only unsightly but also dangerous to breathe in, particularly for anyone with allergies, asthma, or respiratory issues. In one room, the air conditioning unit was actually leaking directly onto the bed, making that sleeping space completely unusable and leaving us with fewer usable beds than we had booked and paid for. Not only was the kitchenware covered in dried, leftover food, but there was also a complete absence of hygiene standards. The kettle was full of limescale and grime, clearly never cleaned — it even appeared to have its own microbiome growing inside, which made it impossible to use. The fridge was no better, filled with mold, rotting food, and a foul smell that permeated the entire apartment.

We booked this spot for 4 nights and it certainly had character. You can get past the the pubes in the bed, the extremely dusty sides and the stains all over the furniture if you remove all the dated furniture and buy yourself a bottle of bleach. Granny was kind enough to provide a ‘kitchen’ which consisted of a bread knife with yellow stains on it, stained cups/ plates and a pepper shaker. She was even kinder to leave some snacks in the food covered fridge, hidden at the back we found 2 packs of sausages that were dated for August 2024. As for the bathroom, if we had any problems with our bathroom, granny directed us to another guests bathroom! To top it all off, Granny was sweet enough to provide us with friends in the form of bedbugs!!! Which especially look a liking to our friend who was covered head from toe in bedbug bites, and had to fly home to go to the hospital. Overall, if you’re looking for a cheap room to spend the night, DO NOT GO HERE. Saving some money isn’t worth staying in Granny’s, do not be fooled by how nice she is, she is a con artist that should be held accountable for the state of her apartment. We also read the reviews and thought everyone was being dramatic, but this was the worst place that we have all ever stayed, we had to move half way through our stay and book another place. Final thing, she loved to lock the main gate at night, without giving us a key!

Everything was fine for the price. The hostess is an older lady who welcomed me warmly. The location is good, the furniture is older, and it's not very clean, but the lady is so kind and charming, and the price is so low that I didn't mind some details.

Not the last season furniture definitely yet comfortable enough to stay for few days in a wonderful location few meters from historical center of Hvar town and all beaches around

The host is a friendly old lady. Though she can't understand English she managed well to arrange what we asked for. She is just like my Granny. The house is very close to the town

The 1 bedroom apartment which was provided to me is really not for the family. The host is a very nice old lady so I feel bad to say this but the truth is the facilities are really disappointing. AC got switched off exactly after 12 midnight and no power in the hall for some reason. The house and utilities are very old. Cleanliness is not up to the mark. The coach in the hall is for sure it would have broken if I could have slept that night. For any singles, please give it a try if you use just to sleep, for families better to choose some other property.
