Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Ukrainewe booked rooms with air conditioning but it turned out to be an air conditioner that stands on the floor with a bucket for drainage, which was dirty and smelly. In seven days our room was never cleaned. We constantly asked for towels to be replaced. no fridge!!! it's quite inconvenient!! There is no basic electric kettle to make coffee in the morning. The main thing is there is no storage room for things if you need to leave them, we put our backpacks right in the corridor!!!
there was a very nice friendly girl at the reception, unfortunately I don't remember her name. Good location! good mattresses pillows and beds)

UkraineWe stayed for 3 nights. The location is decent, but it’s important to note that these are essentially student dormitories rented out during holiday periods. As such, the rooms are very basic, containing only beds and wardrobes. There is no fridge (and on higher floors the heat and stuffiness are intense, so bringing food to the room is not advisable). Although air conditioning was promised, in reality there was a broken window that could not be closed, making the air purifier ineffective. There was no additional kitchen equipment provided. Reception refused our request to borrow a kettle or even provide hot water for coffee. On the positive side, there is parking and a lift, and the place was generally clean. However, the overall “vibe” is that of a dormitory with peeling paint on the walls and some strange wall drawings.

AustraliaNo air con, my room was so dirty. My towels had weird stains on them too. The bathroom was one of the messiest I have seen with mould everywhere. Way too expensive for what it is. Not in a nice area either.

SwedenNo AC, noisy from neighbors in the hallway.
Cheap and very simple, just a room in what is usually a student dormitory. There are doors to the small toilet and shower rooms in the shared bathroom.

RomaniaWe reserved another room through Booking, but on arrival they gave us a cheaper room and when we asked about it they told us that it's not their fault and that we should contact Booking Customer Service. We did that, still waiting for an answer, but because we were only there for one night we had to settle with the room that they gave us since there were no more rooms like the one we reserved available.
Basically nothing good to say, but we did not get the room we asked for, so who knows, maybe I would have liked that one, although for the conditions they provide, the price should be about half of what it is for every option.

CroatiaThe room is a bit cramped and not very clean, especially in the bathroom. The bed linen and towels are clean. The blinds can't be fully lowered. There's also an issue with the mobile air conditioner — it needs to be emptied of water regularly, otherwise it floods the room.
The staff is polite, the location is good, and both the view and the room are great. Parking is available, and the value for money is good.

United KingdomWe booked the day before the stay which was what made it cost more I imagine even though we still went for the room without AC making it cheaper and it was 50 euros which I don’t think it was worth at all except for the location of it. It must be a uni accom, had school tables and chairs and overall the room was clean however bit scruffy e.g paint coming off places. The shared bathrooms weren’t very hygienic either, there was a tampon wrapper in the shower! Although I did see a cleaner there the morning after. Overall maybe if booked in advance with a lower price it would be ok but for 50 euros hmmm.
Good location, 15-20 mins walk from the beach however with all the road/sewege works going on at the moment I wouldn’t recommend going the quickest way as it’s not very safe e.g. we had to walk on a brick wall next to the sewers. However it is close to a very good bakery and a marker with fruit n veg.

SerbiaAir conditioning is very poor. The halls (except for the one where the front desk is) are not air conditioned and are very, very hot. The room we stayed at had a mobile AC unit, and behind it, a plastic bucket for the water coming out of the AC. The bucket was almost full when we arrived, and the room was hot, meaning that the bucket probably hadn't been changed for quite some time. AC unit is very loud and impossible to sleep next to. There was a lot of dust under the bed and some tree leaves (???). The bathroom and the hallway had a noticeable scent of urine.
The price.

IrelandI didn’t like the fact that I emailed this property months in advance about ensuring our room had AC, and they messaged me back saying they could provide that request. When given our room there was no AC provided. We didn’t like how there was no kitchen or communal area as we saw a photo of a communal sitting room.

United KingdomThere weren’t many food places nearby. It could do with a bit of a modernisation . Bathroom wasn’t the cleanest and the room was covered in small graffiti . There is a charge of €50 if you lose the room key
We used this hostel as part of a backpacking trip across Croatia. The hotel itself is far from the city centre but there is a bus stop right outside and the local public transport is great, so no issues. There was AC! Which is a rarity at many of the hostels in Croatia. We didn’t try the food. The hostel did have washing and laundry facilities.
