I had a wonderful experience at this accommodation! Everything was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The hosts were kind and always available for help or recommendations. The location is excellent – quiet and peaceful, yet close to everything I needed. I felt safe and comfortable throughout my entire stay. The very narrow stairs to get to the apartment on second floor wasn't a problem for us, but if you have some physical issues, or simply if you are a bit bigger than normal, it could be a struggle. However, there is an outdoor rope hoist to get bigger luggage up, as bulky suitcases will not be possible via the stairs.

The apartment is fantastic, and so are the hosts. Not the sterile barebones style of flat that you often see, but furnished and decorated in a personal and very cosy way. Fully equipped with everything you need, also in case you cook your own food. Very comfortable beds. Nice view from the balcony, and the fire-station and the road a bit below is not at all disturbing. Only a few minutes to walk to the center, and also a small supermarket just 50 meters away.

There is nothing we would have wanted differently, it was perfect.

The hosts were incredible! They greeted us very warmly and showed us their impressive collection, were available for questions throughout the whole trip, and we had an overall amazing time. The apartment was very central, a 10 minute walk to the beach, and beautifully furnished. We will definitely be returning!!

I have lived in Europe for 10 years and this was the best accommodation experience I have had in Europe. The hosts, Marica and Damir, were very warm and friendly. They provided a welcome drink and introduced us to free parking spaces. The whole room was large and clean, and the decoration was very classic. We liked it very much. Marica and Damir also showed us their collection. What touched me the most was that I left the razor in the room. After I returned to Germany, Marica sent the item back to me. I was ready to pay her for the postage, but she insisted on paying the postage herself and treating it as a gift. I am moved beyond words and I think I will bring my family to stay here again in the future.

This is not a a typical hotel with boring interior, this is a house full of pictures and interesting objects and wonderful furniture. The hosts are very welcome and passionate people who will help you with any requery. The location is in the center of Makarska so you can choose if you want to go to the city beaches or find some nice spot at the wild shore. Very unique place...

I liked absolutely everything about my stay here. The room was adorable, I even got my own bathroom, one floor down. Very clean and perfect location, close to many restaurants and bars,close to the church, art gallery and super markets. The small beach with the beach bar is only 5-10 min walk away. The 2 hosts are Lovely, helpful, kind and there for you. I recommend this and If I ever go back to Makarska I will book here again.

For us the only part that was a little risky was the small spiral staircase because we have two small kids, so something to consider if you are traveling with small kids and taking the top floor of this building.

Not sure. The entire stay at this room exceeded my expectations. It isn't the easiest to find if you are walking directly from the bus station because the streets north of the street the bus station is on are not all perpendicular, so you just have to think to look diagonally at the streets. Google Maps will help, and also the owners are friendly - they stood outside and waved for me once I got close enough to the property.

Very nice room just a minute or two walk from the old town in Mararska. Room was filled with art, had a big bed, and a kitchenette, shower, and outdoor patio with seating area (with outlet, so you can work outside) from where you can see the local bridge and the sea. Owners are an old couple who love traveling and meeting people. They will help you hoist your luggage to the apartment if it is too big to fit their staircase. Although super hospitable (they offered free figs and rakija on arrival) they did say a few microaggressive things, but probably out of ignorance. They are still very nice. Good hot water. There's even a washing machine inside the bathroom. I went in early summer, so if you leave the window open, you don't need AC because there is a nice breeze most of the day and especially at night.

Hot water for the shower only lasted about 5 minutes although I'm not sure if I needed to press something else to get it to work.

Damir and Maritsa are very friendly and welcoming hosts. The apartment is interesting and full of antiques. The bed is very big and the room is quite spacious with a terrace. Air con is good too
