Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandVikki was an amazing host - surprised us with a bottle of wine and chocolates as we were starting our honeymoon in Dubrovnik. There was fresh fruit, some pastries, orange juice, tea, coffee, milk etc to get you out the door in the mornings. The room was so clean, lovely bathroom and shower (with fantastic lighting 😉), fresh towels and beach towels/blankets, great air con and comfy bed. Vikki was so helpful with tips and recommendations for what to do, where to swim and eat. She even provided us with a charger as we forgot an adapter. On our last morning we had an early ferry, Vikki called us a taxi and got up especially to send us off like family. Would recommend anyone to stay here - proximity to St Jacobs beach, Banje beach and Old town was perfect.

United KingdomFantastic and friendly host who made sure our stay was very comfortable. She helped us with parking and spent time to explain the room and recommendations in Dubrovnik. Thank you for the breakfast treats in the morning they were all scrumptious. Great location 10-15 minutes from old town and 6 minutes to St Jacobs Beach. There is also a supermarket 5 mins away. The view from the room was incredible such a stunning place. I would 100% recommend this accommodation.

United KingdomThe apartment was spotlessly clean, had great views, was really comfy and had everything for a few days stay including 2 types of coffee maker and a small fridge. The location is good, it's around 15 minutes walk into the old town and 10 to walk to a lovely beach. The host is absolutely lovely, she brought us fresh pastries in the morning, lent us umbrellas when it was pouring with rain and beach towels on our last day even though we had checked out already.

PolandI can't find anything to complain about.
It was a perfect place to stay in Drubovnik. Hostess took care of every detail to make the stay comfortable and does it with all her heart :) Great location, beaches within a pleasant walk. The internet had a very good signal, but who needs internet when you are in such a beautiful place? :) I will definitely come back to Room St. Jacob Dubrovnik, on my next trip to Dubrovnik.

AustraliaDubrovnik has changed a lot in past years. It's lost its soul and become just another commercial touristy town where everyone seems to want to rip you off and make money out of you. Quality, service, and experience don't match the price and often poor. But if you do come to Dubrovnik and choose to stay at Vicky's place, you'll feel like home and won't be disappointed. You'll be well looked after. We highly recommend this place.
We loved our stay at Vicky's place. The location was just perfect and very peaceful, close enough to comfortably walk to the old town but away enough not to have to deal with all the noiseness and busyness of it. The nearest St. Jacob beach was so nice, much nicer than the main beach, and less busy. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the sea view from the window where we could sit and enjoy our morning coffee and breakfast that Vicky kindly prepared for us daily. She also did the washing for us on our last day of stay, which was very kind.

SpainLocation is perfect, walking distance from the old town and beautiful beaches like St Jacob’s. But the best part is Vicky, she is an amazing host, kind, always smiling and looking to make your experience a great one. Despite breakfast was not part of the room, she offered delicious cornettos and grapes for a “pre breakfast” as well as a water, orange juice and coffee for free, she really wants the guest to relax and enjoy the stay. If I go again to Dubrovnik I will definitely go to Vickys’s room again.

Lovely spacious room with the perfect view. Easy walk in to the Old Town and close to a very picturesque beach (be aware lots of steps!). The best thing about the room was the host Vinka, she was the most lovely, kind lady. Always checking we had everything we needed and treating us to homemade pancakes and croissants in a morning. Well over and above our expectations, and we would certainly recommend.

We had a wonderful, friendly, welcome, help with parking our hire car and lots of information. And to top it all a delicious plate of melon and home made biscuits to welcome us on arrival. Despite not asking for breakfast we were provided with orange juice, crouissants and fruit and the hostess could not have been more deightful. It is a 15 minute stroll to the Ploce Gate entrance to the Old Town and the same (including a lot of stairs!) down to Jacob beach where sunbeds and umbrellas were a welcome sight. Would highly recommend this delightful place.

GermanyThe only thing was that the wifi was not always connecting. But we had enough data so it didn‘t bother us.
This was the best apartment we stayed in Croatia. Firstly the apartment is not far from the old town, which we could reach on foot in 20 minutes. The beautiful pebble beaches can be reached in both directions from the apartment on foot. We enjoyed the sunset there. Secondly the room was very clean. There was also free water, drinks, milk and coffee in the room. The windows of the room have a great view of the old city walls and the sunset. We would have loved to stay in the room all day and enjoy the view from afar. The bed was comfortable and the soundproofing was excellent. By the way, the cups in the cabinet are beautiful. I regret not asking the owner where they got the wine glasses from. What touched us the most was that the owner of the apartment and her daughter were very enthusiastic, warm and kind. They worked hard to help us find a parking space in front of the apartment. Upon our arrival they brought us watermelon to quench our thirst. We arrived at the apartment on a Saturday evening and many stores were closed on Sunday. We casually asked if we could get breakfast and fruit nearby and they said that many stores were closed on Sundays and if we didn't mind they could share their breakfast with us. Two days in a row they delivered a delicious breakfast to the door of the room. It was not their obligation. We felt warmth and hospitality here.

great location-1,5 km from the old town (15 min walk). Quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view of Lokrum Island and the old town. Close to St. Jacobs beach and a tiny, secluded beach for the initiated :) The room is clean, but above all, there's Viki who creates a wonderful, homely atmosphere. One of the most amazing people I've ever met in my life. Viki, thank you very much for your wonderful personality, smile, and care- you made our stay special :)

On the other hand the flat is only 20 min walk to old town ( very pretty path) and it has an exceptional view where you can enjoy the sea from youe window. You also have a great view of the old town from the window with a seating opportunity. The room is super comfortable, clean and we had everything we needed. Everyone of the family, who run the accommodation, was very warmly and kind and provided us something for breakfast every morning.
