Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI honestly can't think of anything other than the fact that there was no daily cleaning, which is a standard expectation when staying at hotels, if that's what you're accustomed to. This is not a hotel per se, but it would be good to have daily cleaning. Although I did not personally ask our host about this, it might have been an option I didn't inquire about. Breakfast is also available through a partner restaurant with a limited food selection.
The property is located in the city centre, making it convenient to walk to various locations. It is situated on the top floor, so if you don’t mind climbing 82 steps, it shouldn’t be a problem. However, if you need to return to the property multiple times a day during the summer, it can be pretty exhausting. Our host, Lara, is fantastic! She provided excellent tips and suggestions, and she was very approachable.

AustraliaWe struggled with the 4 flights of stairs but that was our fault for not reading the small print before we booked.
If you can manage 4 flights of stairs then you will find an absolute gem. The apartment was modern, super clean, smack bang on the Split promenade and had coffee facilities and a fridge. The manager met us and walked us to the property and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious.

Sweden*The entrance to the premises is through a dark but short alley way, not very clean, and the premises are on the fourth floor - no elevator - and the rugged stairway has limited (or malfunctioning) lights... * There is a tv in the room with zero (0) channels (but thanks to prior guests we could view Prime and Netflix 😉). *The small fridge is a nice touch, but it would be even nicer if it would keep the temperature below 10 C. *If you stay more than one person in the room you quickly wonder where to hang your towels, and if you have taken a dipp into the ocean your swimwear have absolutely no place to dry. Strange thinking... But there is a small cupboard (broken in our room) where you can store some shirts/dresses. *The water temperature in the shower was pretty uneven during our stay, seems to be best in the morning. *We stayed for four nights and during that time there where no cleaning or exchange of towels, and we had to buy our own toilet paper. *Breakfast is served in a restaurant approximately 300 meters from the hotel and requires special vouchers (we received one short...🙄). *Our room had a very sloping ceiling, and it's an advantage if you're really, really, short if you wind up at the "low end" of the room. *It's also good to know that it on several booking sites (among them Trivago/Booking) states two singel beds in the rooms (that we have looked for) which is not correct (it seems to be a double as a standard), but the nice caretakers of the hotel/rooms can fix that 👍 *Finally, there is a reception but never any one working there and it is somewhat unclear how you contact the staff/caretakers... Well, the location is great but I would at least take one star off the rating due to the many "odd" features of the place.
The hotel/the rooms are located smack in the middle of the action, at the busy boardwalk and next to historical Diocletianus palace (Dioklecijanova palača). It's a fantastic location! The rooms are elegant and clean, and seems to be recently renovated. The air conditioning is good too. The people that serves the place are very polite, nice and serviceminded.

AustraliaThe only bad thing I will say is there are exactly 82 steps to walk up the building which they don’t tell you about. So if you have large luggage or struggle with something like this then stay away
Staff somehow found my number on WhatsApp and were very helpful in locating the room and showing us there. Breakfast was good value l, just a 5 minute walk around the corner.

United KingdomIt was up four flights of stairs but that can’t be helped! Toni was on hand to carry all luggage up so not a problem. Was hard trying to find the entrance as it wasn’t signposted at all, had to go the tourist information point to get them to ring.
Air con was brilliant, room very clean and facilities were good. Toni gave great restaurant recommendations and the location was great, right on the water front,

New ZealandShower didn’t stay hot for longer than 5 mins, not a huge deal when you’re staying in mid-July! There is no elevator, you need to walk up 3 sets of stairs (sometimes 4) to get to the rooms. This is hard with bags, but the did offer their assistance.
Comfortable bed, good air con, good location, good host.

United KingdomNot been properly sign posted, it is just a door, down a side street, with no name that that is where the Trecentro rooms are, we had to ring for somebody to come and let us in, and they sent somebody within 5 minutes, even though they want you to let them know what time you will be arriving.

CanadaIt is a 4 story walk up so may be difficult for anyone who has trouble with stairs. Make sure you turn on the lights! The shower design causes water to run into the bathroom so beware.
The location was so convenient and not noisy if the window is closed. View out the little window is amazing. The breakfast restaurant that you get a voucher for is wonderful with delicious a la carte menu and friendly staff - Konoba Marul.
