Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

North MacedoniaThe hotel is in a beautiful location, with the sea and forest in embrace, but the furniture in the rooms could use an update to match the beauty of the surroundings. Still, the peace and tranquility make the stay special.
If paradise existed on Earth, I experienced it at Hotel Rubin – where the sun kisses the stones and silence speaks to the soul. The sea and the forest embrace, creating a magic that cannot be described in words, only felt with the heart. Hotel Rubin is a true haven of peace and beauty.

United KingdomThe room was tired, and in the UK, the hotel would not have been awarded 3 stars. We had a night in our room as we had a thunder storm, and it was quite depressing as the room lacked any real character.
The choice and quality of food was excellent, yet the 'free for all' as the buffet started was a little alarming by the other guests. The pool was very good too, but could have had less beds as they were not being used, making it quite cluttered.

United KingdomOutside looked very dated, especially from the front. Pool cues and table tennis balls… need more and they’re currently very old.
Lovely staff, clean, great location, good variety of food, pools and indoor activities like pool, table tennis and table football. The sea was outside the hotel with a great bar and also there was an amazing aqua park. Around a 15 minute walk to Porec, with a nice seaside stroll.

SloveniaThere could be more electrical sockets in the room.
It was a really nice stay. We had room for 3 adults, the third bed was also very comfortable. The beds wefe comfortable, bathroom was big enough, but the hotel needs a little renovation. You can see it's old. The food was very good and versatile and there was plenty of it. Even if you came in the last half an hour. There are some steps down to the pool and the sea but not so much as in some other places. The 2 elevators are very slow. There is plenty of natural shade by the sea. The sunbeds are 7 eur and the umbrella also, 20 eur for 2 sunbeds and umbrella. The ones on the picture are 6 eur for hotel guests. Sunbeds and umbrella at the pool are free.

Building and rooms need refresh and renovation. After it can qualify for 4 even 5 star hotel. Cost of parking 3eur per day OK, but could be removed or added to room cost so you dont care for this.
Excellent value for money. Having breakfast and lunch between 8am-2pm is nice. Great variety of food, fruits and sweets. Perfect location, by pines, beach 3min and swimming pool. Walking downtown 15min.

SerbiaQuality or taste of food was mostly average, WiFi was not available in rooms (but it was in lobby and pool area), there were no hotel umbrellas and beds at the beach (only around the pool), pool bar was open only after 12pm, additional (third) bed was not comfortable.
Very professional and pleasant staff, good location surrounded with a nice pine-tree forest, good amount of options for breakfast and lunch at the restaurant, good air-conditioning, big terrace in the room, a lot of parking space nearby.

United KingdomI didn't like that the bar area around the pool didn't open until 12, due to temperatures it would be nicer if it opened earlier so you could buy cold drinks. The bedrooms and corridors around bedrooms could do with an upgrade. The balconies and outside of the building looked a bit tired and paintwork needed a refresh.
The reception area, dining area and all communal areas in hotel were very nice. Pool area was nice, liked that people could not reserve sun loungers.

IrelandSeemed a bit petty to charge for car parking when already a resident there, even if only €3 per day.
Excellent choice of food at the breakfast and lunch buffet. The location of the hotel is perfect for Porec, a 15 minute seafront promenade stroll. The rooms are dated but freshly painted, spotless and very comfortable beds.

SlovakiaNo Croatia food, we have breakfast and lunch, breakfast was every day same, I would like to see more Croatia food on menu. Also early lunch until 2pm isnt the best choice if it is until 4pm it would be much better. Hotel has 9 floors and 2 elevators and then one was broken. We spend half of day waiting to go up and down. We have stroller and we really needed elevator. Also pictures on Booking have very nice Photoshop, reality is slightly different. In Lobby I would make area only for small kids, since there was a lot of quests with small kids. They have 3 toys however it is placed in area where everyone is sitting, I would make some small corner only for kids under 5 years, that would be very nice. Room was very small. Crab was broken and only luck saved us that our child will not be hurted. Tv in the room was 20 years old with very bad picture its better that they remove it and no Tv then this one. Also WI FI is only in Lobby, restaurant, no wi fi in room very bad considering that is Hotel in Valmar group.
Close to Beach, very nice Staff, Lobby is very nice

United KingdomThe breakfast was ok but access to the good coffee machine was terrible. There was either a very long queue or the machine was completely empty. We only had one good coffee from the machine in our 10 day stay. Lunch was not always that good. By the time we got to the dining room around 1pm the food was dry or some dishes unavailable. One Friday the lunch was so bad we didn't eat anything. Not great fans of sharing tables with other people either. We tried to stay in the quieter areas but often there was not cutlery there. We were on the 8th floor and the lift took ages, we resorted to using the service lift on most occasions. Nonetheless we can't say that the staff was friendly and the guests movements in the restaurants were chaotic and dangerous sometimes.
The view from the bedroom was lovely. The chambermaid was the best we ever had, nothing was ever missing and she left everything so clean.
