How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I couldn’t find any faults at all….
The staff were exceptional and it is one of the best staff services we have ever experienced! Antonio was very funny, provided excellent recommendations of places to visit / eat and we loved Marja’s cake and pancakes. The hotel felt like a home away from home. Tony helped us to the ferry when we were leaving which was greatly appreciated! Our room was really big and you could get beach towels and fill up your water bottles at reception. The location was fantastic, very close to the old town and pier. Don’t look at other hotels, just book it!!!!

Everything was enjoyable.
The entire staff was exceptional! Toni, Antonio and Dewey were the best helpful in every manner. Great suggestions on everything we needed. A delight to chat with, and the ladies who prepared the breakfast were also lovely.

Quite a lot of stairs for someone who’s recently had a knee replacement

No lift though we did get help carrying suitcases up 2 flights. Bathroom a little small but totally fine for a short stay.
Very convenient location with a short walk to the old town, local beach and bus station. Clean comfortable room which is perfectly fine for a short stay. The breakfast was lovely with lots of egg options and delicious pancakes prepared fresh to order. The staff were very helpful and provided lots of of tips to help us plan our stay. I would definitely recommend.

There are lots of stairs but ask them and they will happily help you with your luggage. No elevator
Super close to town (5-6 minute walk), very spacious apartment, multiple bathrooms, amazing breakfast made to order

Finding the property was challenging. The entry was in a small alleyway, but once found, parking was great (additional fee) and very safe and protected.
Spacious apartment that was very clean and quiet. The staff made the stay 100% enjoyable! Toni and Antonio are experts at making guests feel welcomed and offered wonderful travel advice. The breakfast was AMAZING! Chef not only impressed us with delicious omelets, but the crepes (they call them Croatian name) were the best. the room was spacious, had air conditioning that was efficient, a bathroom with 2 wash basins, and an excellent show with amenities. But the very best part of the stay was Antonio and Toni. 5 Stars each!

It’s about the property but about the town : it’s almost impossible to find a safe parking place Hopefully, the property has 2 parking places that you must reserve before arrival (15 Euros)

Everthing was fine.

Room was smaller than expected.
Central location just a few minutes away from historic centre. Hospitable friendly staff. Parking space available for those with a car. Fresh omelette and sweet pancakes available at breakfast.

From the moment we arrived in Split, our experience was made exceptional thanks to the warm hospitality we received at our hotel. We were greeted by Toni, a local who grew up in the area, and his passion for his hometown was immediately evident. He enthusiastically shared his top recommendations for local restaurants, must-see scenic spots, and hidden gems that only a true local would know. What truly set Toni apart was the level of care he showed. He didn’t just point out a few suggestions—he thoughtfully mapped out each location on a physical map for us, giving us a clear sense of where everything was and how far we’d need to go. It made exploring Split so much easier and more enjoyable. The service throughout our stay was truly unmatched. On our first morning, Toni personally checked in to see if we wanted breakfast before they closed—and even offered to keep it open longer if we needed more time. That kind of thoughtful gesture really stuck with us. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, and their friendliness and attention to detail undeniably enhanced our stay. Split is a stunning destination on its own, but the incredible service we received made it all the more memorable.
