How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

One more towel would be good.
I was completely happy with the room, it met my expectations. Everything clean, and functional, great location, right in the middle of the historic area.Very good value for money. Special thanks to the host, who was extremely supportive in helping me resolve my logistics issues.

Great location, and very comfortable and clean! Dalia, the host, coordinated the parking, and helped me when I accidentally trip and scrapped my leg. She’s an excellent host and has a great place! Highly recommend staying here!

The table in the room was small and accompanied by two rather short stools that were uncomfortable to use for longer periods.
The room was very comfortable and as well as pleasantly decorated in a rustic style. The small fridge in the room was greatly appreciated as were amenities like an electric water boiler and tea. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean, including the bathroom. The location, very close to the main part of the old town, is excellent and the free parking, although a little far from the property, was still very convenient. The host was communicative and pleasant upon arrival but then made herself scarce for the next two days I was there - which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. The price, however, was very fair, especially considering the location, and I will definitely stay here again.

I recommend Serafin rooms to everyone who would like to spend a night or two in Motovun: quick and easy communication with the host, perfect location of the house in the very centre of the town, good size of the room and the bathroom, overall cleanliness and comfortable beds.

A tiny room inside the hill town. The location is great and all attractions are near Rooms Serafin. The host lady was very nice and helpful. She communicated with us by WhatsApp, not only showed us a shortcut to Rooms Serafin, but also met us in the Parking lot.

AC is positioned above the bed and it blows directly into the bed, so it wasn't possible to sleep with the AC on.
Great location and exceptional cleanliness. Room and bathroom are spacious and fresh. Host was very friendly and professional. There were no problems with parking.

The hosts was so helpful, she picked us up and helped has with the parking. The village Hotovum is a great place for relaxing and exploring the old town. Highly recommended!

We liked it all. It is on a hill, so wear comfy shoes.
Rooms Serafin was very comfortable, clean and friendly. Motovun was very interesting and a great place to visit.

Not a thing
Town of Motovun is a real time capsule. We highly recomend this place for visiting. Room is very confortable and there is a garden beyond house with fantastic view. Our hosts were fantastic. They even gave us lift back to the car park because my wife has a problem with her leg and the climb to the apartment is pritty steep

Many people have talked about the need to walk to the apartment. That’s normal and expected in Motovun: Cars are only allowed up to a certain point, the rest of the city has to be explored by foot. When you book the apartment, the host will ask about your license plates and send you info about two available parking lots that are close to the city centre, where you can then park for free during your stay (which would otherwise cost per day, if you hadn’t booked a stay). From the closer of the two lots it is a short, mostly uphill walk of about 5 minutes to the apartment, half of which leads over old and crooked cobblestones. Suitcases can be pulled but it’s easier to carry them. Like I said, this is normal for the inner part of Motovun and part of the reason why it’s so quiet and beautiful up there. If you’re a normal person with normal luggage, you can easily make the walk. We liked it there and can recommend a stay.
Great little apartment that seems to have been renovated recently. Very quiet and serene at night, at least during our stay in May. Friendly host :)

Dahlia was very good about communicating when we were trying to find the place. She also gave us our privacy, but was always willing to help if necessary. It was a great location for walking and exploring old town. I loved our visit.

Apartment and parking (owner will register for you the car license plate so you do not pay for the parking) are located very closely (5 min) to the centre of Motuvun. The check-in went smooth and the owner was nice and welcoming. All clean and tidy, the view from the bathroom was stunning. Strongly reccomend it!
