How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Strongly recommend the apartment. Perfect location in the center of old town, cosy bed, clean and tidy room. Very nice owner who is always ready to help.

Excellent location in the very center of the old town, lots of restaurants, bars, shops nearby. Taking a boat trip is easy. Beaches are not so far. The apartment itself is well equipped, clean and comfortable.

The only thing to keep in mind is that it's on the third floor with no elevator.
The apartment is equipped with everything you might need, even small things like salt, sugar, cooking oil, and a modern coffee machine that's always stocked. There’s air conditioning in both the room and the kitchen. The kitchen is shared, but the bathroom is private. The owner is always available and responsive. The location is very convenient — right in the center, just a 5-minute walk from St. Donatus Church. Despite being on a busy street, noise wasn’t an issue with the windows closed thanks to good sound insulation. I’d be happy to return!

It was very noisy from the street, especially at night.
We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed our time. The host was very helpful and friendly :) The location is perfect, right in the Old Town, close to everything. The kitchen was well-equipped, and our room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

I couldn't get the lid on the kettle to stay put, so couldn't boil any water. Only a small thing and didn't impact my stay.
The owner provided clear instructions for check in which made my late arrival easy. The location is in the heart of the old town, within easy walking distance of tourist sites and the ferry terminal. It didn't bother me but be aware the rooms are on the third floor and there is no lift. There is a coffee machine!

Central location, just off a busy street but very quiet. Very secure access. Private bathroom, with excellent shared kitchen facilities. The apartment was clean, shower was good. Easy check in, good communication from the host.

The location of the property is incredible, right in the heart of the Old Town - but with no outside noise! The instructions of how to access the apartment were brilliant - especially as our flight was delayed and we ended up arriving at 2am!! The room was clean and comfortable with much needed air conditioning! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Clean room with great air conditioning. Host was very informative and friendly and gave us all the information we needed before we arrived so we had no trouble finding and getting to the accommodation.

My room was number 2 and it was terrible. It is very noisy room with view to the street. I was not able to sleep there. If the window was closed the room was very hot (air conditioner is very noisy too) and when the window open there was noise from the street (restaurant under the window). All the other things were great but this aspect is important for me.
The room was very clean as a bathroom. Equipment was sufficient. Wifi was great. The owner was very helpfull. The key was in the key locker so it was very easy to go in. And I agree that everything is close to this accomodation.

I think it's somewhat overpriced for what it is, as the rooms are pretty no-frills and there's no breakfast included or possibility to store your luggage when leaving. The rooms are all rather close together too, so getting woken up by other guests is almost inevitable if they're getting up early!
The location is perfect and the room is simple but nicely enough furnished. There's also a shared kitchen facility to make use of, if needed. This is mainly just a sort of "use it as a base" type place, with the location being absolutely perfect for the old town. The hosts were friendly and easy to stay in contact with too.
