How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We stayed at Madonna Luxury Rooms for one night and it was perfect for a short stay. Despite being right in the heart of the city where it can get quite noisy, the apartment was surprisingly quiet thanks to the soundproof windows, which is a big plus! The space is modern, clean, and fully equipped, including a washing machine, which was very convenient. Great location and comfort combined — ideal for a quick city stop.

Everything was good except the stairs. Anyone with luggage or elderly would find it difficult if not impossible to climb. This should be a disclaimer in the listing.

Spotless clean. We'll equipped, modern and comfortable. Spacious bedroom and comfy bed. Washing machine is a plus. I forgot something at the apartment when I left and the lady was kind to help me get it back.

Perfect location right in the heart of the Diocletian Palace where everything from ice cream to restaurants to the seafront was just a 3 mins walk away. Huge smart TV was a bonus and very modern and clean rooms

Best place to stay when you are in Split. It is located at the heart of Old Town and walking distance from the Split Promenade. The surrounding is lovely with lot of food and shopping option.

Little tricky to get to as google maps didn’t provide correct location, but hosts were easy and quick to get in contact with and assisted
Easy to get to from Uber drop off spot, was quiet and could not hear the nightlife from where apartment was. Staff were so friendly and accommodating with a very late check in due to flight delays (1am). Would recommend for anyone staying in Split

There was a lot of noise coming from the street and it was a little bit scary at one point because the entrance to the apartment is directly on the street.
The location of the apartment is perfect, and the bed vas comfortable. Ideal for one ore two people.

Where is the property was very comfortable and clean and centrally located – it needs a little updating. But I understand from Gordona that is happening very shortly.
Very central location – the most we had to walk was 1 km to Anywhere. Gordona was most helpful, Friendly and most welcoming. We found the windows practically soundproof – I know is that some people commented on noise from the street. But As someone with sleep apnoea- the windows work great. Lots of of hot water at all times – plenty of towels. kitchen was sufficient and clean and for the price as charged – it was all great value. Cardona was there on call at all times – even at 2 am in the morning! She was a great help in finding the property using Google Maps pin location

some other guests were a bit noisy in the kitchen in the late evening, singing and talking loudly. Could hear all thorugh the door.
more quiet location on west edge of old town, still very central. Many nice restaurants around, and main sights. The room had space and had nice clean bathroom and was facing a quiet backyard. Friendly owner. Convenient cooking stuff, microwave and water kettle & dishes provided.
